wow Tommy!
what cooler is that? Sharkoon?
Alpenföhn Matterhorn ;)
thanks, saw it now on caseking.de :)
Interesting tests.
Have you tested the Noctua NH-D14 with 2x 6000 RPM to better compare the Noctua and the TRUE 120 Copper, or just did the test with 2x 6000 + 1x 4000 RPM?
I say this because I just change my Noctua NH-D14 for a TRUE 120 Copper and did not know if the exchange right. But the TRUE 120 Copper has not yet come to me, will be used 2x Scythe S-Flex 75CFM.
Will I regret it with this exchange?
Almost no diference between 2x6000+4000 and 2x6000.
Not a good choice to replace NH-D14 with Copper because Cooper have very bad base and need convex lapping and retention sistem modding for best results on nehalem. Even with lapping is not better than Noctua cooler at low rpm.
Copper thermic behavior and TRUE arhitecture make him very good for extreme tdp/cfm.

Ohhhh man, that is just great :)
Not good to see push-pins on Yasya
@Tommy: I wonder what kind of a face expression a girl would get if she asked you what your hobbies are and you told her you collect CPU heatsinks. :P
Nice collection and nice hobby.
Everything but a Prolimatech. Beautiful.
Megahalems and Armageddon are on their way ^^. Also Alpenföhn Nordwand, Thor's Hammer and a second Matterhorn.
And I guess my favorites are the Venomous X, EKL Matterhorn and Noctua NH-D14 :)
You can't understand the beauty of the Matterhorn and till you get up and close to it. Great collection Tommy :).
Venomous X Black Edition is what i waiting for :)
Yeah, where's the test on that matterhorn? Do some I7920 4.0ghz+ test for us please.
Dying to get rid of my TRUE.
Completed my system.

Finally! A case where the Noctua color scheme fits right in. Beautiful.
Please don't tell me the only Noctua friendly case is a Sunny... haha
Like someone mentioned WinDy Soldam Alcadia FX2000RS Black Knight
http://windy-online.com/case/alcadia_fx/2000r/
It just has two 120mm fans on the front no JV for me. :p:
I never got the explanation how four of those fans in series would benefit me.
thanks, took me a few attempts to get it just right. i went through nearly 50 red cable ties & 50 black ties. :ROTF:
I got it through a friend with a japanese contact.

^^ Looks very nice indeed bud. show us once set up :)
The downside of air cooling :mad:Dust. Anyway here's mine.
I've posted here before but i just upgraded my case, so here it is :) I had to cut into the 230mm fan on the side panel because my heatsink was slightly blocking it, theres another 230mm fan on the top for exhaust and a rear 120mm exhaust and front 140mm intake, heatsink is Xigmatek achilles

Wow josk, thats amazing
@josk1 - That is absolutely immense. Minimalist and classy looking.
What happens if you put an angled plane between your lower intake fan and the psu?
You can also use it as a mirror....
Which heatsink is that ?
josk1, that looks sooo sweet
Ah, paparamiro, you take such sweet shots.
Here's mine.
FYI I have...
CPU: i7 @ 4.5Ghz
GPU: Dual 295's (Currently will be receiving 3 EVGA GTX 480 Superclockers in 2 days)
Harddrives: Dual X25-E EXtreme 64GB Solid Slate Drives in RAID0 and 2TB Seagate storage.
Memory: 2203Mhz 8GB 7-8-7-20 Corsair Dominator GT
MOBO: EVGA Classified 762 4-way SLI full 7 16x express speed lanes.
Case: A full sized closet! ROFL. lol the 4-way sli mobo requires more slots so I need to find a case.
Cooling: Air! yah extreme air! using a modified and hacked V8 cooler. see pic
On to the news. I have an open-air rig and use a giant utlra high velocity fan and an air conditioner lol. It's not all connected because I'm rewiring everything and waiting for my Tri 480SC's from newegg. I do plan on going with 4 if they serve me right.
http://img710.imageshack.us/img710/8515/dsc04451x.jpg
Well okay... why do you have the motherboard sitting in midair and not resting on a flat surface, picture needs resizing.
Sorry for the picture size. This is not how the board will be finally layed out. It will be stable and it's in mid air so it can be cooled underneith the hottest part of the mobo. The temps change dramatically when cooled under. If it was flat then the temps climb even higher. I wish I would of done this a long time ago so thanks to it being in mid air cooled from both sides I can get much better clocks.
Wow poparamiro that is one of the best mirror finishes I have seen :clap:
Thank you, some of shots are ok but far from a lot other shots of my very talented colleagues from here.
@ V0id
Yeap, Balder's base is very nice (is a stock base)

first build in 12 years, still tweaking but well on the way:

What are you cooling with the zalman fan?
Probably just moving air over the back of the gpu?
I would point it towards the back of the case though.
there's a mobo chipset heatsink, you can just barely the edge of it there.
nope.. zalman is creating flow over silent pipe cooler on the UD7 :D
its been a while.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...x/IMGP9549.jpg
Don't know if this qualifies, but this mATX build has 2 x 80mm, 1 x 60mm, 3 x 40mm (5.25 bay), 1 x 80mm GPU, and lastly 2 x 40mm HDD cooler. :D
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...v4Left3-41.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...rkLeftSide.jpg
And yes TSXmike all blue!
nice builds! ive always wanted to build a mATX setup.
btw... i did find some 120s in red... so a color change might be in my future... just need to figure out how to change the LEDs in my sunbeam rheobus.
470/480's look sweet
@ Papagaj
Very nice Noctua and Lian Li
That is sweet Papagaj!
Indeed, thats very sweet, papagaj. Those GTX480s look like pure pr0n and it is clear they have used quality components for cooling the hot GPUs.
And the placement of the OCZ SSD is very interesting.
Thumbs up!
Hi, this is my pc with Venomous-x etc. :)

http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/7138/p1000391fo.jpg
@papagaj, very nice ccomponants you have there. Hows the gpu's holding up when pushed during gaming ?
Thank you everyone!!! I'm happy you like my piece of steel :)
Well here is furmark in extreme burning mode.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYH25FXvvuo
Maximum i had was 103 upper card. Stable as rock. Durnig gaming max i've seen was 92 upper card. ( card would throttle at 105 but never reached that)
that lian li case is outstanding and with closed side panel... majority of the fan sound is absorbed.
im very satisfied with my purchase...gaming is pure luxury now :)
Nice, im sure the noctua fans are doing a sterling job in keping the cards under control.
^^ AWESOME!!! The angles on that cooler are amazing
my build
sry no pics saved :(

@ owned666, Me likes as me has a SG01 Evo & sold an SG03. BTW what is the sound track that I really like!
Xien16 what graphic card is that? I guess that you "pimped" the stock cooler maybe LOL
No :D
It is the ASUS 5870 V2
The only problem I have now is that I have to wait for a waterblock...
@Xien16: The blower-style fan looks different than on the other reference cards. Is it actually different and if so, how does it perform, compared to the other ones?
@Xien16: Nice quality shots and have to say ASUS did a nice job color and "style" wise on that card. Still waiting for ATI to do something with their drivers so they can compete with nividia's CUDA for folding before seriously looking. Also never was able to get into their red theme either! :ROTF:
Thanks ;)
@ BuBBle.D:
The fan has less but bigger wings and seems to be more silent then the one of my old 4870 ;)
The GPU stays cool with it but it is extremely loud on gaming ...
Nothing for me as a silent lover :D
That's not bad at all! I suspected it would be throttling for the upper 480 sticking close to the lower...
My upper 5870 reaches 90C max during Furmark, but the fan noise is too loud for me. Then I gave up my Gigabyte X58A-UD7 mobo and replaced with ASUS P6TD. Now there is a 2cm gap between two cards, and the overheating problem of the upper card is completely gone! The upper card now only reaches 70C max in Furmark.
I would be keen to see if 480 will also fall down to normal max temperature, given the 2cm spacing :)
