Old thread but trying to fix an issue with my new GTX 670. Everything seems to work ok, except I can only get x8 pcie speeds. Pop my old 4850X2 and goes right back to x16. Any ideas or am I SOL? Just don't want to have to get whole new system to run this new card...seems DFI support is totally dead.
Anyone having this issue? new GTX 670 runs at x16 in AMD system but stuck at 8x on intel :\
Theres got to be someone else still running this board with a GTX670...
I think you will find Peen that most of us old DFI guys gave up running this mobo long before DFI made it clear that they had given up on us.Quote:

Not sure it will help but do you have the Molex plugged into the motherboard near the PCIe slot - my old DFI DK X58 had two of them and as I started with 2 GTX260 in SLi I always had two Molex from PSU connected even when I changed to a single GTX470.
