It is my belief that with widescreen monitors, a left-sided Taskbar is the way to go.

I've set my Taskbar to auto-hide now. Still on the left. I'm enjoying the clean look.

os - linux mint and the meters - conky

and im pretty shure these are the meters he is using http://www.addgadget.com/ i use to use em too ;)

Found some, like these and those from Addgadget, but I think the ones made by Orbmu2k are better for me. They are easier to read and don't overload you with information. Plus, his Intel Core CPU gadget gives you temps too which the others don't.
