4550s with Zalman coolers.
VF700Cu, if I remember correctly.
I just updated my thermal paste on my CPU and GFX cards to Arctic MX3, and found and fitted a Zalman fan bracket I had lying around from ages ago (sorry for the rubbish quality pictures and extra messy cables):

I have 2 of the Antec 3 speed fans that came with case for the intake at highest speed, then 5 coolermaster blue fans around the CPU and graphics cards.
I dont think I can get my PC cooled any better then this on air unless I use louder fans. All of these fans I have are very quiet, theres just a slightly louder hum with the extra antec fans set to high, but I can turn them down at anytime.
Nice, nice :)
"La Piovra"
Air cooling the otherwise water cooled fusion block system on the Striker II Extreme ROG, so I applied this Thermaltake Extreme cooler instead. Had to bend it carefully by hand to fit the neighbour. Itīs all fitted into an Antec NineHundredTwo case. Time to see what temp.s itīll manage.

Tidy it up the wires a bit sion. You have a great canvas for a case and sterling componants but the wires need a little attention.
I've tried viewed many great works in the forum but when I deal with the case I'm always finding something going wrong.. Cables are too hard, Failure to closing the side board, etc.
Well, English is not my native language so please excuse me my bad English.
Shout out to Laine. Sick set up with clean contrast:up:
@Laine - what cards are those?
After looking at you guys pics, that tells me I need a new camera... most of you use those crazy expensive DSLR's?
Another one:
http://i952.photobucket.com/albums/a...l/Img_1308.jpg
A basic DSLR isnt too expensive...
Not always.
Reminds me of an old joke - A photographer goes into a restaurant carrying his portfolio and sits down at a table. The waiter comes over, takes his order and asks about the portfolio. The photographer shows him a few images and the waiter says "Wow, those are some very nice pictures. You must have a really expensive camera."
After the photographer has finished his meal, he calls the waiter over to ask for the bill. "Was everything OK, Sir?" Asks the waiter. "Yes," replies the photographer "in fact, could you pass on a message to the chef for me?" "Sure, what is it?", asks the waiter. "Tell him it was an excellent meal," says the photographer, "he must have very expensive pots and pans."
+10 this.
Also, you can do natural light photography by using a tripod and the setting the timer. When you push down on the shutter the camera vibrates. In the time the shutter delay gives you, the camera stops vibrating. That allows for longer exposures that remain crisp. It's amazing the difference you see. Try it.
what lian-li case is that metalwaterbox????
lol
Here is mine :D

Unrealer, you need to upgrade to Pro ; )
Sweet looking pics and case Laine, looks great!
anyone taken a look at the new eVGA board?

that SB cooling is RIDICULOUS
This is already in news...
who cares if it was in news, not everyone follows every thread

My V1200. I'm proud of how I somehow managed to keep the PCP&C 1kw's miles of cables neat :p: Just need some longer SATA cables, hehe.
hi guys,
this is my new video of my rig, hope you like it

hahahahah,but not i7 920 instead i7 980x and evga x58 classified
only the best for me!!! :bravo:
Sorry guys, im going for watercooling for now :( But here is last shot with my air cooling online! ; )

New NZXT case (Beta Evo), amazing airflow, cable management, and 120mm fan options (takes two 140mm fans up top but I cba buying them). Case gets 10/10 from me and I've had it for one and a half days lol.

I agree with you LennyRhys. Besides, cases with a pre-painted interior (prefferably matte-black) always deserve a big +. I like your red/black combo. Looks awesome. Moarrrr pics!
very very nice setup Lenny, love the case.

oh gosh!!!!
josk your rig is.....I don't know what I have to say...just marvellous
Convex lapping
josk1 what case is that, reminds me of a refrigerator. I love that color scheme though, similar to what I tried with my Antec 900.
poparamiro - did you lap your cpu too or just the hsf?
also what type of sandpaper did you use?
My cpu for testing coolers is normally (flat) lapped, heatsinks must be convex lapped for perfect match with nehalem die.
I used 300/1000/3000, but 1000 is more tham enough.
Perfect match would be lapped cpu and HS.
niiice...! awesome work on that black mesh!!!
love this cooler!
mine is looking a bit different, but i like them both ;)

Stock Cooling FTW! :bows:
No, I'm just kidding - watercooling parts coming very soon.

Xien16: Modders mesh? That looks awesome.
nice toys u got there ramiro!!!
Ahahahah, you needa strong PSU to power those animals =))
holly Crap!! 7.2 amps! I hope you have ear plugs ;)
@vengance_01 - the 250 cfm delta's beat everyting in terms of noise

Poparimiro - it's truly beautiful, isn't it? Thank you so much for posting this.
poparamiro, I recently bought one of those Denki beasts myself and I can only say that I have never seen or heard anything like it before. BTW, I measured the startup current right at 8.3-8.4 amps and it pulled right around 75 watts measured at a running state at full power. BTW, I wired the pwm control wires together into a pwm 4 pin plug, so you can actually use the cpu fan header to control fan speed with it. That was pretty neat, hearing that jet engine of a fan speeding up and slowing down according to heatload on the proc. I have each motor assembly wired to it's own molex connector, 1 rpm wire and the pwm wires into a 4 pin pwm connector and the other rpm sense wire I put on it's own 3 pin fan connector.
Yes, the best i've seen so far, the pressure is huge. I prepare an article with all the great bench fans out there, 250 cfm deltas, 260 cfm Sun Aces, Sunons, 6800rpm Papst and as many i can get.
we should start using lawnmower engines with aluminum fans and TRUE's clusters
Xien16, what's with that pink thing under the mobo? acryl+leds? nice sleeved heatpipe lol
Did I just hear "RAM clearance issues"?
Well, more appropriate approach is "smoke on 8 pin cable and connector" :D
L.E.
@ gatecrasherlok - only for testing :)
Holy moly Poparamiro, thats gotta give some decent cooling but at the deficit of killing the silence.
Whoa Popa! twin 300 cfm's!!!
85W FANS !!!!!!!!! EACH
what fans are they?
San ace 120 - 300cfm
They are only for testing coolers in extreme conditions, 86 watt/fan.
What heatsink do you use to cool the 86w fans? :p:
Yes, i did some testind with "ultra extreme TDP" (1.66vcore, 1.65vqpi and large FFT). Coper was convex lapped for max heat transfer from nehalem die.
Here you can see previous Copper vs Nh-D14 test.
I'm in love with this thing :D

Damn you Tommy. :)
I thought these were supposed to be arriving at the end of next month. Looks awesome.
