I guess today's fun starts in an hour or so. Been a very nice day so far (L'Pool - Barnsley 1-2 and United - A'nal 3-0 HT), maybe I will stay lucky fora few more hours:)
This time I'll show you some CPUZ screens as I DL'ed the correct CPUZ-version.

newest version 1.44.1 since today ;)
Well, how can these guys be so STUPID?? They release a new version every damn week! Why can't they allow older versions for a day or two, the way it is now you can DL the newest version, bench, and then be unable to validate the results because a new version was released when you were benching!
I got 3 WR's today (3400+ newcastle @ 3355mhz, 3800+ newcastle @ 3278mhz and x2 3600+ manchester @ 3557mhz), but I'm not able to prove it lol. Thank God all of them were easy to get, so I can get new results tomorrow. But it's frustrating to use an hour or two + alot of dice to create the same results again, only because of some other guy's mistakes:rolleyes:
write a mail to them ;) sometimes they validate your results.

hey nice pot gianni :D
yapp and over 5kg. :)
I got a Mobile 3700 and I cant even run it at stock? - Its stuck at 800MHZ?
Nice clocks there... Im sweating at the heat all they way from here!!!
damn... i think you have a real good board... such a luck with cpus no one have. congrats. ;)
may i call you mr. opteron :D
Hehe:D Sure, go ahead :p:
Btw, I saw (maybe) a small error in the DB. The dual core Opterons should be names Denmark, not Toledo (as single core Opterons are Venuses and not San Diegos):)
Btw, I don't think I can get that 4000+ WR with my chips. Most 0626FPMW's are pretty bad, actually. (compared to your chip at least :p: ), but KAB1E 0631APMW's seem to always go quite high, but not EXTREMELY high.
Well, unlikely. Imagine the number of people out there with 3700's in there systems that don't even overclock, chances are there are a few out there like this one, if not better. It's a damn shame our collaboration is but a mere minority among the masses of pc users, from all backgrounds.
This little CPU is truly amazing. I wish AMD mass produced chips to this standard, I guess It kind of proves they have the potential to be more than they currently are. However I'm sure a lot of people would contest this. To think Its a socket 939 and I couldn't even break 3400mhz on my damn 6000+. Congratulations man.
my new 2800+ with bronze die color :)

ADA2800AEP4AR CAAXC 0432XPDW, on ASRock mobo very good OC
it is CG revision.
and ADAAA2800ACN5 on the way :)
LOL this day has been horrible:p: First I try the 754 mobo, but because of some strange problem it won't run above 275mhz FSB (kinda hard to get WR's, then), and the vdimm is 3.17v max - even if the BIOS allows for MUCH more! So no 754 benching.
Hell, let's bench some pcie video cards I thought! What happened? My 6800xt's holes didn't fit 100%, and because of that the backplate of the pot cracked. But I could still try some CPUs, right? Oh no! This time I got 4 leds with 2 CPUs in a row. Maybe the Venus is dead, or it just need a rest. Was like that once before, hope it's not FUBAR'ed.
Oh no, that will be hard if the venus is dead :(
Congrats to the records...that 3800+ newcastle is hugh ;) And that with dice only.
Where is the validation of the 3000+ newcastle by the way ?
Stepping of the Opteron 148 ? It seems to be 0530 APMW.
Watercooling arrived!
I had problems with the CPU - CPU block contact because the IHS was not flat
enough, and one of the cores was sometimes 20C hotter than the other one :(
So I had to remove the IHS, there was no other way :D
Now the temps are almost the same, Prime is running now 'till morning.
This seems to be the max frequency:
Links deleted, Prime reported error after 3 hours...
Bad luck knopflerbruce, I hope Miss Venus is still alive :(
Congrats for the records!
S939 forevah!
It was like this once or twice before as well. There was NO reason that it should die, so I hope it still works. But it's not a DISASTER if it's dead, as I have one more at my parents house, and another one in Germany:D
What 3000+ btw? I don't have one of those I think. At least there was no such chip in the package from Germany. You're right about the stepping of that 148, hehe. Still more in it, I guess at least 30mhz more, maybe even 50. The problem is that the idle-load difference is too big for me to crack the pi score, so I didn't want to go crazy on the voltage if I didn't have to. Need to get a more massive pot i guess, this one is like 200g.
The 3800+ isn't THAT good, about the same as the 2 others I tested (3400+ and 3500+). But I will try it on LN2, as I can lower the temps a bit more before I run into coldbug problems (maybe -20c more or so). More voltage may help as well, still sub-2v :p
Next mission is Opty 144 + 146 and 156.
I seriously had "Ode to joy!" playing in my head when reading first post.
What's depressing is that gems like these could be idling on stock, surrounded by dust in some grandpa's computer.
@ Knut
Sorry my fault I thought that there was one 3000+ Newcastle S939.
damned you two guy have now an impressive list here.
lol, check that: http://www.ripping.org/database.php?cpuid=511
K.I.H. :D
