or you could do that but you don't have to :)Quote:

Well, new bios B03 still doesn't work properly with upwards multipliers with a QX6700. Up to 31x is available in bios, but only 2 of the 4 cores actually run @ +10x multiplier. Also with the QX6700 it really doesn't want to go much above 300 Mhz fsb either. So for now, the E6700 works quite well, and for QX6700 it is utter crap.
I saw that this board has some fitment issues with cpu heatsinks. Which one is most used? My temp is around 60 stock volts, 2.8Ghz and running 2 folding@homes. Idle temp is still hot at 48 and thats at around 2.5Ghz.
the scythe infinity fits fine as well as the tuniq tower 120Quote:

The voltage options changed for vcore in bios or and uguru and did not provide for exactly the same as before flash. Close enough though. I did note the vcore on the 1.2 bios screen as 1.462v and should have been 1.562v. All instances were faster. In the last screen the vmch was increased .03v. edit** I did a 1m and an 8m and both were faster with the 03 bios as well, 15.578 to 15.562 and 3.11.344 to 3.10.859. Marginally but consistant.
It seems very low that load temp johnsally, comparing to idle and on air ??Quote:

EIST is disabled in this 03 version.
I wonder why ?
I like the idling with lower voltage.
Didn't had time to play around with it, maybe tonight.

This board is driving me crazy, i cant even get it to boot with FSB over 320. Here's a list of my equipment.
E6600
2gb PC8500 Corsair C5
The said motherboard
x1950xtx gfx card
150gb raptor
tagan 580w modular PSU
Scyth Ninja with Fan
Now i am finding a couple scenarios, occasionaly i will get it to boot but it will freeze at the POST screen and most times i will get no POST at all.
I spent a couple hours last night playing with different voltages, different RAM timings and any other setting i could play with... but ended up gettin really frustrated and the lack of success i was having. I had to reset to CMOS too many times, it was like with every reset the board was slowly edging towards the window ;)
Now i would have thought that i would not need to change anything to boot the FSB at 320 and yet i was still gettin problems, could someone please post me the settings that they would recommend using to get to about 350fsb, hopefully if i can get there then i may be able to start to push it further.
I am using the new b03 bios.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated as this board seems to have so much potential, i am just need to work out how to unlock it :)
Cheers
Steelsie
guys, i don't succeed to download the file from Kiner's link...
Hey Steele,
What vcore, vdimm and divider (if any) are you using ?
1) run 1:1Quote:

I miss the EIST as well. The voltage does not lower when just surfing aroud. Now at my usual clock speeds when idle my phase controller is keeping the fans on high. Its not enough reason to go back though :)Quote:

I pretty much tried all the different dividers for the above voltages obviously starting at the settings that gives me the quicker ram speed as the set i have is verified to run at 1066.
I have been reading up on the straps today so i am going to cycle through all the ratio's setting the strap to 1066 tonight.
Do you think my voltages are sufficient?
I'll give it a go thanks fhpchris, well except changing the sink, i dont really wanna do quite yet, plus there is not a lot of room between the gfx card and the ninja.Quote:

running atm 378 with 1.35 vcore, 2.10 ddr and 1.7 vmch - temps are 35-37 idle and 46-50 load..
hope i get sometimes 400 stable :<
up the vmch more.
i have yet to do 400 orthos blend stable but i've been messing with mem settings for a while now and have found that certain ones increase the length that orthos will run.
thanks guys....i'll try it just when possible :D
im testing atm with 400.. temps are realy high :( 56-58 on load..
and the pvm1 on uguru @ 53..
vcore on 1,45, ddr 2,10
vmch 1,80 > error after some seconds
vmch 1,81 > error after 2 minutes
vmch 1,82 > error after 3 minutes
vmch 1,83 > error after 48 minutes
vmch 1.75 @ 401 on my board, you can mayby put littlebit higher vore.
mem 2.1
vcore 1.52 idle temp 32c load 46c on water
