I agree with what has already been said. All these retailers are just testing the waters on the first day to see what demand is. Gradually they will lower prices once they see competitors undercutting them. I'm not so sure demand is really that high (yet) considering only people with new mobos are able to buy. All those folks with old non- Core 2 LGA 775 boards can't even use this CPU.

Now if Core 2 duo was compatible with any LGA 775 mobo this would be a disaster..lol.

P.S. Ewiz is great. I live in northern california and just with regular shipping my order arrived next day at my house. So if I have to pay tax I'm always going to buy from them.

Do what most people do. If the pricing is absurd don't buy it. Losing money hurts the higher ups more than crapping on the pee-ons.

Advice. Take your approach only on the phone where the worst that will happen is you get hung up on. Though there is a bit of a safety blanket if your at someones place of business. Sometimes people are a bit more submissive when they are getting paid.

I don't understand all the hate for Newegg. So they are charging a higher price than the competition. So what. Don't buy from them. That is the essence of our economic system.

In the mean time, ClubIT lied about the "in stock" status of their retail Conroes, is ignoring e-mails, and won't even answer the phone. Monarch is also apparantly jacking around their customers. We should vent our anger at those who truly deserve it.

If ClubIT offers to send me an OEM chip for $10 off, I'm going to tell them to stick it up their :banana: :banana: :banana: . If I ever get in touch with them, I'm going to cancel my order and buy from someone who doesn't :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana: with their customers.

That's y I only mentioned the 6400 :P Also ordered the P5B Deluxe. This seems like THE board to get for ultimate stability and overclocks. DS3 is decent too, but somehow it seems to be really really really buggy.

So, you would recommend the P5B Deluxe over the P5W DH? I have the latter on the way right now, but stability and mild overclocks (yes, I know this is xtremesystems.org...:) ) are my goals with my E6300...

I have Teamgroup ram on the way as well...

I just got off the phone with MicroCenter of Fairfax, VA and they told the are getting 60 more E6600 OEM on top 3 they have in stock. Price is $359.99. I'm picking one up today. I'm tired of wating, screw BLT.
