What kind of problems? I only have a T2700 an it seems a bit scary to flash to 1.07 then. 1.06 works just fine...Quote:

hi to all i tried upgrading my bios to 1.06 and cant pass the aopen logo :( will aopen take this board back for rma?
Normally BIOS flashing is at own risk...
Had problems with 1.07 flashing too...
Does the board ask for a floppy disk?
My mobo did, was able to fix the bios with a award-boot disk...
i can not boot in win!Quote:

Its not easy to do since the bios chip must me unsoldered from the board. I could do it, but tbh i'm not the best at soldering and dont have the correct tools to do it properly... killed one of the solder pads when I did mine and had to run a wire as u can see from the photo I posted. The other thing is that the person who hotflashes it will need to unsolder the bios chip on his board as well, to put yours on...
Where do you live anyway?
i live in california :) , i called aopen and they said that i can rma the board :)
thanks though...
I flashed my board to 1.07 BIOS, no problem so far. I'm using T2600ES.
Got my 7900GTX back from RMA today, big fun with the 1.06 BIOS
I´m very happy with my AM3-result, no tweaks or GFX-OCing...;)
My Merom did 2 h r@h with 2,99 GHz @ AutoVCore, with the 1.03b I only reached 2,75 GHz...:toast:
Will see tomorrow mornig, if everything looks good...:D
hmm i have problems.. with graphic card or 1 pciex slot on aopen..
when i am booting windows with my x1900xtx in 1 slot.. in the moment where you get on screen users log in.. bum computer shutdown..:S wtf
so when i am runing x1900xtx in second slot everything is perfect(i didn't tested yet.. but when i am in windows it works) soo anybody have solution?
Do you have sub zero temperatures? Mine would shut down at that point under phase change due to buggy bios... never tried putting gfx in a different slot.
Nice work btw stummerwinter :D
no water.. under water:S
this 1.06 bios is weird;) when i was about to disassemble my pc and send it for rma i tried to power it up for 1 last time and yes it booted fine woohoo the only problem i having now is when my ir receiver is plugged to one of the usb it wont boot o well...
1 question though whats cpuvtt for?
thanks
Have it now running with 240 x 13 and 1.425 V (set in BIOS)...
Prime Custom and r@h-stable...
Who uses MBM for temperature and what offset do you use?
I use:
Case: -10°C
CPU: +10°C
That one is really nice:
CPU: T7400 @ 3,12 GHz
RAM: 2 x 512 MB Syncmax @ 400 MHz 4-4-4-12
5.5.0

BIOS 1.07 is running flawlessly here ;).
No problems flashing at all :).
anybody know if second pci-e slot is runing slower that first?
No, they should be identicalQuote:

do you guys clock yours yonah with clockgen?
i have tried but if i set + 1 fsb i got restart :S wtf !!
I've been clocking mine in BIOS.. I can get it to boot into Windows with 3 GHz but I am limited by cooling for stability :|
Aopen Coo works best for meQuote:

A few questions if I may...
1. What sort of overclock can I get on the T7400 using air cooling and standard memory?
2. Is there a recommended non-expensive cooler you guys can suggest?
3. Bit of a 'deal breaker' question for me - can I put the motherboard into Crossfire mode, only use one graphics card, and put another PCIe card in the other Crossfire slot?
4. Assuming the answer to 3 is "yes", could I use x4 and x8 cards?
A contact of mine uses an SLI board to house an ATI graphics card (I think it's a top-end X1800 but am not sure which) and runs a whopper SATA controller on the other SLI port - that's the precedent that makes me ask in the first place :D
1. 2.6-3.0GHz I'd say depending on stepping
2. Just about any S478 cooler will do on a proc as cool running a Merom
3. Yes
4. Yes
Those are exactly the answers I wanted to hear. My Meroms are Stepping 4, Revision B0.
Can you recommend a specific cooler? Is the 1.06 BIOS a good bet?
The Zalman 9500 works quite well and isn't difficult to mount..
The Big Typhoon will work even better if you don't use the stock mounting brackets.
