........and This is the Vagp Modd......We locate the SAME(number) IC BESIDE the AGP slot......AGAIN from PIN6 to GROUND we solder a resistor of 1.5KOhms 1% , 1/4Watts OR an SMD resistor(like the one in the photo)......With this we get : 1.5=1.7Vagp , 1.6=1.8Vagp , 1.7=1.9Vagp......
We can messure the VAgp at the CHOKE(ROUNDED COIL) behind this IC......

Am I correct in seeing what you did here?? You didnt actually solder to the chip but somewhere near it with a Surface mount..??
Also, I am a little lost as to where you measure the Voltage at.. Can you be so kind and show me :D

The Modds MUST be done WITHOUT any memory sticks and VGA Card onboard ........First we Modd , we messure and then we put the memory sticks and the VGA card onboard......Have luck and take a good care....... ;) :D
For the Vdimm, I see that you can use an SMD grabber to grab onto Pin#6 of the IC controller. Use a Variable resistor going to any ground on the case or m/b with a max of 10K or 4.7K if you are adventurous. The 10K (approx.) I found usually gives you 2.75V right from the start and then lowering the resistance it will increase the Vdimm up to the values Hipro5 says.

Where are you measuring the Voltage at??? Kinda lost as to what Hipro5 said about where to measure.
EDIT::: I C where, but the prob is if I have the bord in my case... cant get to the backside.. have to think of a way... I got it. :D
I am getting the board today but if you start measuring each mosfet leg in the vicinity of the IC controller then you will probably find the output. Another way to measure is at the dimm slot but that is more complicated to get to the pin within the slot. Possibly this mosfet right adjacent to the IC controller can be maeasured 1st. If that isn't it, then start fanning out from there:
Beware of soldering a trimmer(varible resistance) cos IF it is set to about 0KOhs,you mitgh blow up something on the Mobo......You HAVE to be VERY carefull.........Now look at the "spot" on witch you can messure the Vmem.......
Absolutely agree Hipro5! Anyone using a variable resistor or POT should set it on max resistance. I have made a few "How To's" on Vdimm mods which explains in detail for a specific board but the procedures of setting up the pot or variable resistor are exactly the same and that is always have yourself set to begin with max resistance with a POT or variable resistor.

I've done two. Here is one for the Iwill P4R533-N and then for an AMD's MSI K7-D Master duallie board. The MSI m/b has a 8 pin IC and the 6th pin was the one that controlled the Vdimm on that MSI board. The Iwill had a larger IC to control the Vrimm, but it was the same one that was used on Abit's AMD board KR7A. So, some of these regulators are used on multiple boards.
The point here is the procedure to assemble the SMD grabber and attach either a variable resistor or miniature POT is the same.
I found 10K POT was the best resistance to start with. Usually 10K (set) gives you about 2.75v right out of the gate.

hipro5, what kind of speeds were you able to get out of it without any mods?
I just got the mobo and had the time to do some very quick tests. Ended up at 197-198MHz (PiFast stable) w/ slowest possible timings (my samsung2700 is the limiting factor there.. will be testin w/ some hyperX3500 soonish). Using single channel w/ XMS3500 I got it a bit over 200FSB (pifast 203 or 204).
Using the xms3500 / sammy 2700 combo in dualchannel mode I seemed to max out at 175MHz w/ (pretty) fast timings ( CAS2.5-2-2-7-0clocks-no Turbo = unbuffered 2040/2064).
w/ fast mem settings the performance is quite all right (not quite as good as RDRAM 4X though..).
Also seems that CAS and Tras timings wont make much of a difference. Slowing down RAS precharge and RAS to CAS seem to give bigger performance hit.
The maximum stable fsb frequency for me, seems to be between 197-198 fsb. I know that it`s not a maxxed-out processor issue, since I was able to hit the same fsb with a faulty promie installation, resulting in a +17 full load temp, with 1.675Vcore.
After a correct installation, i`m down to -12 full load.
The memory timings isn`t an issue as well, since with the buggy bios (slowest timings, no matter what you set in the bios) or with the tweaked bios, the stable fsb freq remain the same.
I NEVER test an unmodded Mobo to know how it acts.....When I get a Mobo in my hands , the first thing I'm doing is to Modd it.......Read below RootX's post. He is with an unmodded one......Quote:

You HAVE to put on the EXCACT same Memory sticks to go higher in Dual DDR mode......Have luck with your new toy...... ;) :toast:

Here is a simple look at the IC Vdimm regulator and my way to measure the Vdimm. I used a Radio Shack 10K miniature POT(set to max 10K). With the Vdimm set to 2.5 in the bios I get about 2.70-2.72. Then I use the bios to adjust the Vdimm upwards to a max for me of 2.94v. Now, I can go higher but then I have to adjust the POT to a lower resistance to raise the Vdimm above the 2.94.
I use the bios settings in conjunction with the 10K attached pot if the SMD grabber becomes disconnected. At least I will have some higher Vdimm than just 2.5v. Actually, my board was overvolting in the Vdimm by about 0.078.

Are you turning the 10k vr down to about 3.9k to achieve these voltages ?
No, he means it the way he said it! I have mine done the same way. With the 10k ohm resistor set all the way to 10k I get the same three readings - 2.73@2.5 and2.93@2.7.
