No, I'm trying to get the rest of XS into the team, just like me. By saying that they have to prove to us that they got these uberchips working at those speeds by crunching numbers and putting the Mhz to good use. Everyone can claim in his sig having an Opty operating stable at 4000 TeraHerz daily, what I wanted to say is get out and show us.

as to getting the F@H team to migrate to Rosetta: I doubt it would happen. The F@H guys are as dedicated to their DC app as we are to ours. Can't fault them for that!;)

Nah keep crunching!

R@H for example will put Dual Prime or even D2OL to shame as an XTREME stability test and burnin tool so hopefully you can get even higher over time :hehe:

As far as for sigs, mine has gotten too big to shoehorn any more.

But my 3 170 0550VPMW machines say they have total hrly credit of 263 :devil:
(Would be higher but my wife's machine likes 9x300 @ stock, 10x260+ = :explode2: :brick: , so only 2 3 Ghz Opties running linux :D). No more machines since I have too much other stuff to do, etc.

Hey guys...Well I have a bit of disappointing news and a bit of semi-goodness to talk about. The Blade will not be Rosetta'fied for Xtreme. It's been a frusterating few days here, but the answer was, "no, this server should be doing other things." :stick: Thanks boss. Non-techies never "get" things. Sigh. Anyways, the good news. I will be allowed to use our 1.13 ghz p3 clusters. There are roughly 40-60 chips total. It's not A64 duel core power, but it's something. Again, I'm hugely disappointed and I'm sure some of you guys are too, but at least I'll be able to contribute something.

One other bit of semi-good news. He gave me the go-ahead to try to whip up a quick daemon for auto-running Rosetta on the Blade during NIGHTS ONLY. If I can make something simple and automatic and can prove to him it's not a waste, then he is up for it.

Hey cant you just set the BOINC client on each server to do work between certain hours? Its a shame your boss doesnt see the light. I assume you told him that the server stops Rosetta if it has anything important to do though? Oh well, some people will never get it, no matter how simply you put it. Good on you for a superb effort with the PIIIs, despite being an utter R@H newbie Im sure they'll help a lot.

Like atomicpineapple pointed out, create an account for that bladeserver and adjust the settings so it only crunches at night... piece of cake :)

Out of curiousity, what are the blades usually used for... what type of busniess are ye in?

My gfx card is the limiting factor for Oblivion anyway and my cpu usage is most of the time about 25-30%, so there is enough left for R@H + the second core ;)
And my 3 other pcs are making more points while I play Oblivion because I mess around with them ^^
Are you already convinced, that playing Oblivion is a good thing? No?

Second that... it's why I prefer boardgames than FPS etc.

And I let one of my rig to leek long time... because that repairment of wc would have mean bad interrupt (and eventually meant that) :( So I had to buy couple mbs to compensate.

IF XS ever wanted a real challenge, getting to #1 in F@H would be it. I mean, getting to #1 in Rosetta is gonna take us til christmas, but getting #1 in F@H even with everyone on rosetta switching over would still take us like 3 years or so.
