I wasn't going to bring that up but I kind of agree that the board might be undervolting some on the CPU - I think maybe thats why there have been some problems with people first booting on a new windows load - C1, ?
Seriously, I think the HTT voltage is being set as the default cpu voltage and the voltage for the CPU is adjusted by changing the HTT voltage. Or something to that effect.
Not quite getting what you saying but I would suggest raising the CPU and Ram volts a tic or 2 for starters @ default speeds. If you raise the HTT slowly - odd #s -3 at a time & set ram (3448/1t) the other ram setting on auto they take care of them selves nicely. at HTT 215 go to DDR 333/800 & at HTT 253 go to DDR 266 / 400. If it hangs or goes to safe mode just reboot through it all a couple of times. Hate to say it but you pretty much have to put the volts to it as you go - Nb etc:)
I finally got my at8 32x running. I can figure out where the HT multi is. I need to change it to 4. Where is it?
Edit: I figured it out. I was looking for just a number.
Still no new Abit bios or 3rd party bios?
there's a beta under test
OCW got 340
http://www.ocworkbench.com/2006/abit/at8-32x/g1.htm
They got 340 by running the mem at DDR266! What's the point in that?
I did ask Bluetooth for more details but...
its in the uguru menu under ldt i thinkQuote:

Woooo.... The got a stable desktop... Way to go... Maybe now they can play solitaire.... :stick: ...Is that site for real?
It was DDR400 RAM & by my calculations was being run at DDR452 (certainly above its nominal rating).Quote:

He's managed to source (and supply to those who asked) beta and official BIOS's for various MB's in the past.

about damn time
there's a guy a the Abit forum who has this board up to 400 htt!
the bios did absolutely nothing to help.... in fact, it is now having trouble detecting my maxtor sata drive.... and its not even in raid.... I'm beginning to think its an opty 165 compatibility problem.... and i still cant figure out what the HTT and the 1.8V NB voltage have to do with the speed of my cpu.... when I set the multiplier on my CPU lower my HTT can reach higher speeds. But, my cpu cannot exceed about 2.53ghz. Adjusting my VCore doesn't help whatsoever. If I knock my HTT (set at 1.4V) down to 1.35V... it doesn't post. The same thing happens with my 1.8V NB... If I leave the voltage at stock everything, I get to about 2.25ghz (250x9), but only when I raise my 1.8V NB and HTT voltages can I get up to ~283mhz (when I use a x9 multiplier, if i use a x8 multiplier my HTT will get to ~317, etc etc). Anyone think I have a bad board? I got this CPU prime stable at 2.75ghz on my old k8n neo2 platinum.... and it posted at 3.1ghz on air... why should this board be so different?
anyone have any profound luck with the bios?
Meh.... My old el-cheapo ASUS A8N-E could run two NO-NAME DDR400 sticks @ DDR480..... :(Quote:

What in the name of heaven is that good for?!?
Pardon my ignorance mcbalaban but what does showing a screenshot of a cluttered, full desktop prove with regard to overclocking?
The... "clutter" ...as you put it, is known in these circles as benchmarking software and it proves that the kit one is testing, is stable when actually doing something besides spinning the fans.
So is it a requirement to have all the benchmarks running while taking a screenshot?
All the screenshots I've seen are with benchmark results pages which I know shows they completed the benchmark but that could have been testing just one-at-a-time.
Should I only trust reviews that include all benchmark results (3D mark, SuperPI etc etc)?
