So D511 to ground should do it for the 1,4v mod.
This will prolly be the most popular of the mods. (since gpu is "rated" to run at 1,4?)
The general public (like me) will prolly need the closest GND pointed out.

So where exactly do we colour in to get the volt mod without soldering?
Maybe jamming wire between pin21 and 20/22 will do it too? but pin22 wasnt a 0, right?
someone need to confirm still but it seems to me the most simple mod is a small spot of conductive paint connecting pin21 to pin22 which will give 1.4vgpu and be easily removable.
You are correct. Connect D511 to ground (left pin) and you will have 1.4 Volt.Quote:

Isn't needed to change the resistor to use that spots ? Also, could we use both spots to get +0,3v ?Quote:

all you need to do is jam / solder wire between pin 21 and 22 on the right for the extra +0.2VQuote:

Join the two yellow on the right together for +0.2V (1.4V).
Join the top yellow three for +0.15V (1.35V).
If you do both, you get 1.55V.
EDIT: if you cant/scared there are many folks here that can do it for you ;)
This is where I did my D511 to ground for 1.4V.Quote:
A picture of D511 to a ground would be of great help....I was the stupid one with the other stupid guy and need exact instructions.

Good work guys.
Anyone tried this with a 7900 GTX?
I'd be interested in A to Ground for 1.4v. All you would need is to stick a piece of wire inbetween the two leads.
Isn,t D511 to ground 1.7V
To pass 1,5/1,55 u need to rip of the 5kohm resistor and put a 50kohms am i right ?Quote:

If anyone wanna try it, poke around for an easier spot for ISUM (pin 12) and then just use the first mod to increase the voltage.

all i did was connect pin 30 and 31 to ground to acheive my results. very simple really. great work guys.
when i get bored with this speed i will attach a dip swith to pin 21 so i can switch back and forth for benching purposes. i don't think i want to run at 1.55v all the timne.
Only if you replace the resistor with 50k resistor.Quote:
Isn,t D511 to ground 1.7V
Kind of. You can get 1.5 or 1.55v by replacing the resistor but it's not necessary. You can get 1.5 or 1.55v with or without replacing the resistorQuote:

This sums everything perfectly for voltage you can get by replacing or not replacing the resistor.
Other usefull info...Quote:
There are two possibilities:
1) Either you do not change any resistor at all, and then this table applies:
options starting at 1.200 Volt with the existing sertting of "01110"
-------1.200-1.250-1.300-1.350-1.400-1.450-1.500-1.550
Pin22----0-----0----0------0------0-----0------0----0
pin21----1-----1----1------1------0-----0------0----0
pin30----1-----1----0------0------1-----1------0----0
pin31----1-----0----1------0------1-----0------1----0
pin32----0-----0----0------0------0-----0------0----0
2)Or you change the resistor as in the picture from Flytek to 50Kohm,
then this table applies starting from 1.5 Volt for the existing setting of "01110"
-------1.500-1.525-1.550-1.575-1.600-1.625-1.650-1.675-1.700Volt
Pin22----0-----0----0------0------0-----0------0----0-----0
pin21----1-----1----1------1------1-----1------1----0-----0
pin30----1-----1----1------0------0-----0------0----1-----1
pin31----1-----0----0------1------1-----0------0----1-----1
pin32----0-----1----0------1------0-----1------0----1-----0
In the Picture that FLYtek mailed, the wrong combination of resistor and table was made.
Pin 21 = "A" in the pictures = D511 in the pictures
Pin 30 = "B" in the pictures = D508 in the pictures
Pin 31 = "C" in the pictures = ??? (didn't look)

aicjofs, that is a very nice diagram. Isn't there a ground pad closer? Could you please check if you have a card, and also post a good close-up macro shot of that area.
To avoid another dozen posts repeating the same questions I will try to explain in layman terms for the less experienced (WARNING: the pros here need not read this):
- replacing blue squared resistor is only if you need more than 1.55V.
- forget about the whole pins etc, just look at aicjofs diagram.. there are nice big solder pads to work with. As shown in the diagram, connect the two points by soldering a CONDUCTIVE wire from one spot, to the other. without the wire touching anything else. Congrats! You're done! You now have 1.2V->1.4V accomplished!
aicjofs, thanks for the info ;)
Pin 21 = "A" in the pictures = D511 left pad in the pictures
Pin 30 = "B" in the pictures = D508 left pad in the pictures
I have only one question.. what would you say MAX SAFE voltage is for Air?
Personally, with only a quick glance at that stock heatsink, I wouldn't do ANY volt mods at all. However, if you have Zalman VF900 or Artic Cooling NV5, I'd probably do 1.4V 24/7 and maybe 1.5V for benchmarking.. ofcourse you can get away with more..
definitions of "SAFE" vary/.
Thanx man.. I'll be sure to try them both..
The mod seems pretty clear now, just one more question please. If you do not have a soldering kit, can you use conductive tape instead? Or if it needs to be a wire, then can the wire be fastened by tape?Quote:

How would you use tape to "fasten" each end to precise solder pad? Those points are pretty small, and tape is pretty elastic. One small breeze, and that wire end could end up anywhere.. NOT A GOOD IDEA.Quote:

If you are planning to do this soldering job, and are a bit unexperienced like me, PLEASE PRACTICE FIRST ON SOME OLD ISA/PCI CARD. I use old 1MB video card ;) And, do please be carefull. Most importantly double check everything, and if anything goes wrong DONT TOUCH A THING.. take it to electronics ship/TV-repair shop.

Thanks again guys for the volt mods. These cards are startimg to fly.
