just wanted to give you an idea of other methods for the back of the board.

here's some pictures i just took right now, I know jin once used a DFI backplate for his unit, which works decently. The backplate is a little thinner than chilly1's. I use thinner insulation than what is shown, probably 1/4 to 1/3 of that, but just wanted to give you an idea.

Thanks again alex, im going to pull the motherboard and install the factory back plate as you suggest. As being you have been so much help with this problem including photos and everything i wonder if i could trouble you with one more problem? :) please read my coldbug post on the root of the phase change forum and offer any help you can. Sorry for being tardy on reply :) But basically what Alex told you is gold on AMD insulation. The tar like stuff (mastic tape, seal string) is for LGA 775 insulation since the foam tape (armaflex, etc) won't have enough clearance for users to insulate properly.
I am looking to get some machining done to improve this whole insulation process as none of us custom builders really have it down without some DIY aspect...

Honestly, at first, I didn't like Kawasaki Green customer requested. But over all, i think it rather came out sharp :) What color is your case again? :)
This one is tuned for very high heatload (Presler). But hearing few conroe from expert oc'ers using phase across with high voltage pumping even more heat out close to that of Presler, I will eat up few degrees for other systems and start tuning more toward the heatload on the units unless customer asks otherwise... :) IE best temp for 160-165w, hold to 190-200w.

Now, some folks might remember PSU's with plug for monitor :)... Yup, I dug around to find this stuff... On froster, this will connect to PSU. On this one, it's just pass through without fuse interruption so he/she won't have to use up another plug if they wish :)

The wires extending are #1. Zalman Fan mate controller to speed control fans.

Hmmm.... one more change... or at least trying... let's see how it works from OPB's mouth on new set of nut and bolt.
Bit costly way of doing things but if it works great... something to consider.
How is temp? about 3-5c colder than NF9FX in general. Noise... about vapo LS.

I love the long flex on OPB's machine. That's one of my biggest complaints about my vapols, damn thing is way too short for no case systems. :(

Just wanted to say just how quiet that danfoss is, seriously, the fan on the condenser he uses is louder..amazing units jin.

Another one... once again delayed thanks to a part. I had to swap that particular part 4 times before I found working combo.... 120mm fan hole on top per customer request... :) Also got new plus 2 side panel in... :)

Well, I finally got a cooler ambient tonight so I fired up my unit from Jin (very similar internals as OPB's [maybe identical?], different case and fan controller [my old PCICE case, very solid and goes well my with my CPU case], and a normal-length suction line), well, I'm impressed :D ;)

(real ambient is closer to 21.5C, temp probe was near a warm-spot on the ground :confused: )

Ehehe... waiting to see how does spring help on mounting. It shall be used in future mounting once I get it down... :)
Glad it made the trip fine this time Vapor :) Too bad Danfoss supplied washer was the cause of original problem and thanks for letting me know ASAP as I was able to change the mounting before the major shipments :)
