hmmm that's news to me about voltage.....i'll try reproduce that....you sure about this :confused:Quote:

We are talking real world performance here. Whats real world performance to you ... calculating pi values? ... unless you sit all day watching your computer calculate pi values or prime numbers
Is that what you feel computers are used for? The benchmark olympics is not real world performance
opps....... :D
um..i think that is a little unfair to say something like that to those who are trying to accomodate what you have asked for....
IF there is a difference between 4x and 5x..or even 3x..it isnt going to be anything that in a real world performance issue you will ever see...if it should show it may be nothing more or less than a second or 2 at worst or best....
in response to Kaisers post....

take this voltage example >>>>> now that takes superior skill to discover.....i normally don't take advice from anyone for granted and i do like to confirm things myself (like certain HDD performance s7 mentioned way back :p ) BUT i do take it seriously when he is positive about something because i know he put a lot of effort into it and has proof ;)
back on topic please or make a new thread ;)
Chew,
Do these new boards like the .5 cpu multipliers or is that still a big no no?
Which RD 580 would you suggest, the ones with the Ati SB or Uli SB? ... or does that depend on what type of user you are :)
Um no .5 multis on this board. As far as the MOBO all ati chipsets or bust. Thats the way it was intended to run so thats the way i buy it.Quote:

Do whatever you like - run 2000Mhz on your LDT frequency - I'm sure you can HOPE it runs faster. If you just wanted to know how to OC to run Cinebench faster, you could have just asked.....I'd really suggest you think about what you write before just babbling stuff out:rolleyes: . Everything here at XS is part of the "benchmark olympics". Spi is one event and Cinebench is another. If you want to race in either one, lmk as I'll show you what performance is really about.....
And ill show you how to take the hardware there :) or kill it:D
I thought I already got this thread back on topic by asking about the South Bridge options ... I guess some can not listen well ...
Sorry Chew, just gonna say this last thing and leave it alone:
I never said Cinebench is the gold, end it all, standard for LDT or even over all system performance for that matter. As chew pointed out so elementary, I simply suggested he run Cinebench. It was for my own personal need ... no different than other posters here who suggested other test for there own personal reasons. For me, determining if there is in fact a real world gain by utilizing a higher than 3 LDT is important. Cinebench is my tool for finding a practical use for a 4 or 5 LDT. It's beyond me how this can turn your panties inside out
That's humorous or sad, I'll let you pick. To many silicon ' roids ' have gotten to you. You have at least one prevalent sympton and that is signs of agression, only this time it is behind a computer. On the other hand if you want to name the track, court, or gym I will show you real world performanceQuote:

Once again, sorry chew, but my manhood was called out ... someone actually had the *balls* to challenge me to a benchmark fight :D
I better write this fast, time is - a - wasting. I got lots to do and train before that upcoming exhausting finger pushing battle I'm up for :D
PM sent :rolleyes:Quote:

Um no however im sure you could use a ram drive or any other compatible PCI Xpress device. There are 2 1x pci E slots that in no way shape or form are hindered by even using X fire.Quote:

I wish people would start releasing PCI-e cards already, how creative doesnt have a sound card out is just beyond me.
Yeah I can't get my head round that at all, I have seen a DUAL DVB PCI-e card though record a prog while watching another.Quote:

FWIW on one of my boards, I run a x4 PCIE Promise Supertrack 8350 Sata2 Raid card off of my x8 PCIE slot with no issues whatsoever.Quote:
