Not really...
Hmm i think the boards "auto" settings are not right for my rig or something//./

Crash, if you need some help with the Asus, I'd start another thread or post in the wiz-bang Asus thread that is already going. Getting help in a DFI Expert thread for your Asus might be tough:)
QFT. In the Asus thread or in the 3d section would be best instead of a dfi thread.Quote:

I'd have to agree. Put the performance together with the best voltage options, BIOS tweaks, and layout in the land, and its probably the top pick.Quote:

i just hope i can figure out all these new settings, hehehe
it's gonna be a fun filled next few days methinks :D
There really aren't many "new" settings, it's just that some of the old ones behave a little differen't. To be honest the switch for me from classic NF4 to the expert really wasn't as difficult as I thought it was going to be. ;) GL with and enjoy your new toy!Quote:

Of course if you had the money to buy one of these units new, if you can find one, a brand new one costs in the range of $20,000 ;)
Holy $#:£ :slobber: :slobber: :slobber:
s7e9h3n You should be proud of yourself. All of that wasted money, time, and effort, for what? 1-2 sec. better SuperPi Time. HA ha.
That's quite possibly the most over-the-top... object... I've ever seen in my life! I mean: fair play, you're a computer enthusiast; I spend most of my life putting these damn computers together myself, but I'd have at least thought +30°c was a low enough temperature for a processor, let alone -87.2°c!Quote:

Peeps have to try run with <-65C cpu core temp and high clocked mhz cpu first to really understand:)Quote:

Well, If you ever need high vdimm, just go buy a ocz booster and no need to vmod the board
What did you pay for it?(If you actually paid $20,000 for that unit, you're a madman in my eyes:eek2:  )Quote:

Now if a person spends tons and tons of money for the simple art of oc'ing, you have defeated the purpose of even oc'ing. Its become an addiction, and a very unsatisfying one at that.
I'm personally more impressed when someone can take a cheap cpu,mix it with an unknown/untested mobo, and buy cheap ram and get their system to 3.0GHz,as opposed to someone who buys a 1,500$ cpu,400.00$ ram,2000.00 cooling, etc. and gets to 3.8GHz  Big deal....for that much money it should run at 9.0GHz
If getting a few "wow your cool" and "man thats a sweet overclock" replies on a message board justify spending thousands of dollars,I say "go for it". IMO stupid way to spend money.
The law of diminishing (marginal) returns
When one of the factors of production is held fixed in supply, successive additions of the other factors will lead to an increase in returns up to a point, but beyond this point returns will diminish.
You're still missing freecableguys point. It's not 'bout saving money, it's not 'bout value, and it's not 'bout what's important to you..... It's 'bout pushing hardware to the very edge accomplishing something no one else has. It’s the challenge, knowledge, and the effort it takes to be “King of the Hill”…… People have been doing this since the beginning of time in all walks of life, some here are doing the same…. That’s why this is XS! :D :D
You utterly and completely missed the point FCG was making.Quote:

EDIT - LOL, looks like pcdoc1 beat me to the same reply:)
You guys must of missed me saying in my post.....

A fool and his money.....Well you know the rest ;)
Lol........... That's a first, at my age you get used to picking up the crumbs. ;)
