Now, I have not get the rma board back, certainly no replacement for cpu either. No day dream buddies!!:(
SO what will they say if a user didn't touch anything and just put the cpu in and it got fried?Quote:

OPB, you need to read http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20827/ In it, Angry Games specifically states that doing so will not void your warranty!!! I think you definitely have grounds to argue here, let alone possible legal grounds to contend their decision. He is an official representative and employee of DFI, so his permission = DFI's permission!Quote:

u see? not only experts killing CPUs :DQuote:

Cant wait on the DFI feedback..
Things are really heating up. I lost a bid on ebay for an A8N32-SLI Dlx it went for $455. My max bid was $360 was sure Id win :/

Holy am I glad I grabbed one at $250 thinking it was rip off from mwave only to find out next day they already ran out... (got mine). Once I am done with burning in this optie I will give it a go with Asus CF board i have not opened up and see how viable option that is. If no SLI than it might be good alternative and much cheaper. (SLI never interested me as I don't bench... and have seen it's collapse back in time of voodoo after about year and half of release) When next version of single card matches SLI performance, it just isn't money well spent...Quote:

rock steady couple of months... start losing stability with memory or killing memory (forget 4v jumper, i am talking stock everything) Possible bad regulation on VDIMM, VREF, VTT. You can still kind of use the board except random reboots, etc. You start seeing a lot of 2 or 3 led symptons. Push it further no memory will boot... other than really cheap old sticks I have from other system.
Keep pushing it next thing I know it kills my cpu. And at end, the board itself is completely unsuable other than for parts. (4 led) even with brand new cpu in.
I am going to put o-scope in to the board when my customer brings his ultra-d to find out if there is any unusual jaginess of voltage regulation, etc. He isn't going to use RDX or Expert to play with till things settled thanks to couple FX-57 he lost as well. All this seems like what DFI was good for 2 years ago to me in all honesty though. DFI < EPOX back than. Just single person Oscar Wu can't possibly change company politics, etc to that significant margin. Their customer service is inferior from my experience so far, and their attitude in handling matter is out right scandalous in this manner. I could see some class action law suit ground for expert board users across the world. Unless monarch was lying through it's teeth that so many board has failed their initial testing... well, this batch certainly is throw away batch which they should have done instead of getting it out to retail channel.
So sorry to here OPBQuote:

apparently it does if you damage anything, but proving that you didn't damage something might be quite difficult. sorry to hear about what DFI told you OPB, definitly not a good situation to be in :stick:Quote:

that dfi policy sucks big time, that thing they put on the chipset would kill boards if you oc them (i lowered by 8°C my chipset with as5), thats the worst thermal compound i've ever seen
What steep you have there?Quote:

Sadly to remember about that godlike Venice and Opty deaths.
Cleaning your NF4 Chipset fan and replacing with AS5 (or other thermal material!) - Angry_Games:clap: seems to cover all bases :eek:Quote:

you WILL void your warranty if you damage the chipset chip or anything else on the board while doing this!!!!
just did it myself couple of days ago.
Heard about your loss OPB so sorry
