2100+ Tbred AIUGB.... one killer CPU... 2506MHz...

I was almost done purchasing what I needed for a MAJOR upgrade to my rig when I discovered this website. I had already decided on an XP2100 processor but was waiting for the price to drop a little further. Then I read here about the Thoroughbred "B" version and it's merits as an overclockable CPU. Then it was noted that it could be found at NewEgg.com. I then went to Pricewatch.com and lo and behold NewEgg was also the cheapest source for it! :banana: I've not done any OCing before but I think I might dabble in it for fun. My new setup will be ALOT faster than what I'm used to anyway.

gamer....did u already purchase you mobo???

If you didn't I would highly recommend the asus A7N8X deluxe. Its the one I have and it automatically unlocks the Tbred proc. plus u get dual lan and audigy quality onboard sound. For only $150...it seems to mate with TbredBs really well.

I got mine a few days ago: AUIHB 0250 XPSW "9"
Now running totaly stable @2313 1.82V. Primeproof. Chip is watercooled, but because of bad radiator + gpu block with 80W pelt (ti4600@327/756) and nb block, I think good air cooler would be as effective as this watercooler.

I am currently running at 1.75 volts @ 2.21 GHz (170 x 13) and it seems to be like a rock at that speed..i'v gotten it up to 2.4 Ghz but the ram i have isnt that good and when i ran the memory test in Sandra it froze real fast. Soon im gettin some samsung pc3200 so hopefully i can get the FSB up to 190 or so, hope the stock multiplier of 13 likes it. What database do u need it for? :)

my friend has a Asus kt333 board and he just bought a XP1800 and he can change the multipliers on his and have it work but yet on my 8k3a+ Epox board it says i can change it..but at stock voltage it wouldnt even post..does anyone think increasing voltage will work? at 1.6 it wont post when i change multiplier :)
with my Epox board i've seen the temp get around 70 under full load (the room was kinda warm) but it was completly stable.. ssooo imma just let it slide cause my heatsink on my cpu is really nice and cool so im not to worried

Not stable at 2650 but i can get into windows and take screenies.
