Yes it does. My 955EE arrived on Friday and it rocks! :)Quote:

I want to see some phase results :D. I'll probably be investing into a Cedarmill / Pressler .. so im interested in this.
955XE will work with 955 chipset if VT is disabled.
hicookie, I borrowed your picture as a backdrop for a 955XE comparrison. My board & memory does not overclock as well as yours does. As an early sample the brand string (Specification line in CPU-Z) is not correct (I wish it was though, 6.0GHz) and multiplier is not correct as well (I would like to see it go to 60, making 15.96GHz core).
btw, the one pictured here @4GHz, 1066MHz Dual-Core + HT ran 56C idle temps and 67C under load (Photoshop CS2, simple SiSandra benchmarks, etc.)
Did you check contact? 56 / 67 is awfully hot. Someone on XS is getting 44C load @ 4500mhz w/ stock cooler. Might want to check contact ;).
Contact is good & The heatsink is not that hot. It's most likely the thermal diode is not read correctly.
Temps and OC %-wise are nice, but who cares? Its still a P4 and if you do the oranges to oranges comparison by comparing to a OC'd A64/Opteron this just brings Intel up even with AMD. When socket M2 comes around and AMD releases thier refresh of that A64 at about the same time any gains Intel made will have been wiped out and they'll be back to square one...
Save your money and wait for Merom/Conroe if you feel the need to go Intel, or Yonah if you're looking for some serious silent computing power. Anything else Intel just seems like a waste of money* at this point in time.
*Unless of course you're rich, in which case please buy all this stuff along with some nice phase and LN2 cooling equip. and post some OC'ing/stock benches with lots and lots of pics. ;)
Conroe looks good, 65w of heat *mmm*
I'm telling you guys...keeps your eyes on Penryn.
thats a ways off though. people want stuff now :p:Quote:
