The sell sheets say 8 Geometry Pipes....of course there's speculation that these slides are fake--I'll take them as truth until notified otherwise.

I've reviewed the evidence on Rage3d claiming that the slides are fake, and though I find dissappointing the level of fanboyism there, the slides have grammatical errors, but only a few things that you'd only see if you set out to find mistakes in the slides in the first place ;) .

The slides seem very real to me, enjoy :)

I don't really think there is such a thing as "too late" anymore, when regarding graphics cards. The timing of the card releases seems to almost roll around at a seamless rate nowadays, and actually makes it difficult to shell out $600 for a card, when the next ass-kicker might be 60 days out.

That being said, I have sat out this entire "round" waiting for the ATI launch that we have in a day or so. My X800XT PE is working just fine, so I was only slightly tempted to buy a 7800 GTX to boost performance, but fortunately, I was patient enough to hold out.

So, I am going to sell my MSI board and X800XT PE AGP card, and dive into the next gen ATI and PCI Express...and I think it was worth the wait.

I'm tired of seeing Dx9 on a nex gen slide...i think if microsoft was following the same development timeline as dx7 to dx 8 to dx9, we'd have dx 10 by now :(

You know he's at the ATi event and is being sponsored (as well as Sampsa) to set the single card records while he's there, right? Those scores are his (and Sampsa's)...

I think it's great that ATI include the 3DMark05 scores for a point of measure for the cards.. I've asked for excactly that before.. (what about the rest of the system providing those scores btw?)

However that leaves little doubt that they have focused quite a bit on getting high scores in that particular benchmark, and obviously tweaked their drivers for it.. I just want people to have that in mind..
