Precisely. I've said it before...I'll say it again. Before posting any new ATI info, ESPECIALLY, ones that are unofficial, pls check the official ATI News Thread.Quote:
already in the news thread.

Sorry for AGP users. And I still think ATI won't come out with 16 pipes : )

as long as it works better than the 7800Gtx, I don't give a rats ass...
lol precisely :D
Another preview, again from HKEPC, full card pics, size comparisons, and more! Also, seems that ther's already a ATI silencer for it... http://translate.google.com/translat...language_tools
Ive said my 2 cents, ill say it again. ATI really is in trouble in the high end and midrange. I know most people buy low end but high end is where all the publicity is at. The latest rumors show ATI with a 600/1400 maximum clocked x1800xt with 16 pipes. Nvidia might not even bother lauching the 7800 ultra because they dont consider the x1800xt a threat as its slightly slower than 7800gtx!
I personally would like some benches before I deside to say :banana::banana::banana: it...
there is a English Version http://www.hkepc.com/hwdb/r520firstlook-e.htm

that card looks Crazy :p:
Random question, but arent the markings on the core usually the other way up, ie in the pic above, the ATI bit is usually the right way up?
I think it might just be too little sleep last night talking though.
Beast of a card, better hope that cooling system aint too loud. Cant wait to see benchies, power drain etc now.

I see a special thanx to VR-Zone.... :p: They were the only ones sayin there wud be 16, 24, 32 pipe versions and now it certainly looks like that they exist...... :slobber: Looks like they know/knew much more than we thought........:p:
ATI's R520 is the Radeon X1800, RV530 is X1600 & RV515 is X1300

wonder how accurate that release date is...
im thinking if the .33 thing really is correct, an r520 at 600mhz would be close with an x800 at 800mhz, which would be formidable indeed...

vr-zone v beyond3d ... who will be right ?

uh, yes. and 904 mhz with 700mhz mem gave Macci 9048 points in 3dmark05, if i remember correctly...Quote:

Whoever talked the the Inq didnt give them the whole story I'm guessing.
I know we won't be able to have our cake and eat it too, but imagine a X1800 XTPE with 32 pipes that each give 1.3x the performance of current pipes rockin at 650 Mhz STOCK and 1400Mhz mem stock with a fair amount of OC headroom in both areas.
Obviously not all of this will happen, but even a card with some of those specs would be a great card.
Have faith in ATi. They may not give us a worldbeater right out of the gate, but whatever they give us will certainly be competitive with(and probably slightly better than) the GTX.
