Not yet . Still on box , not oppened . Waiting for the rest of the parts . :DQuote:

ur temp differnce will be impossible to predict (and anyone who tells you otherwise is so full of crap their eyes are brown), but it will be a little bit better than if you went with a TDX and danger den setup..
btw i suggest switching out the stock fans that come with the apex.. they are ok, but if you are looking for good quiet fans, they do not really fit hte bill..
i predict (through my magic 8-ball or physics nonsense) 38 degrees Celsius!Quote:

I have two spare 120mm Panaflo Ultra High here . Do you think i should switch ? I really don't know how sensitive is this rad to the air flow .....Quote:

you mean the U1A's? that's what i have and they are by no means quiet... i think maxxx is referring to a more silent fan with decent performance like nexxus or silenx.Quote:

yea i believe those are the one's i have. they are loud as hell at 12V but i can turn them waaaaay down and get them pretty quiet. there's no way you can get these puppies quiet at 7V. i turn the things nearly all the way down (almost completely off) just to get them quiet. but then i also have mad turbulence on my rad so that probably accounts for a lot of it XDQuote:

i decided i want good airflow over the rad but quiet ops so i'm going with a 4x120mm push pull setup. any suggestions on some good cfm QUIET 120's?
also is it worth it to go with the waterblock for the 6800 that covers the ram as well or are they limited to much so go with ram sinks? we're talking a $50-$80 difference depending if i go with the danger den solution ($125) or the Koolance($93) rather than the Maze4gpu ($45) and some ram sinks ($5).
no; watercooled video ram (or any ram for that matter) is worthless.
good to know. so it's the Maze4gpu then unless someone knows of a better gpu waterblock. thanks for all the info so far guys.
I'd wait for a bit on a GPU block, there have been 2 GPU blocks released in the past few days (one by AquaXtreme, one by swiftech). I'd recommend waiting and seeing how those stack up against current options.
thanks for the info. i won't be doing this till october so i'll definitely keep an eye out for these new blocks. any links to current info?
Edit: saw the MCW55 from Swiftech but no info really yet seems.
Bump for great set.
just got this kit the other day, and now I'm in the process of setting it up. I do have a question though. As you can see from Teecee's pictures, the highest place I can put the reservoir in is the second 5"25 bay(I have a P180 as well), since it would not fit in the top one. This makes the reservoir slightly lower than the top of the radiator, would this pose a problem when I'm bleeding the system? or will it just take a bit longer to do? This is my first WC setup as well, so any advice would be appreciated :)
You wont have any real issues. I do suggest that for part of the bleeding process you turn the case on its back so that the radiator tanks (where the barbs are) are the highest part of the radiator. this will allow the air to escape from the rad.
You won't have any problem getting the air out with the water velocity that pump pushes.
TeeCee I noticed you had a XP-120 before hand. I'm not trying to be a funny man when I ask, but how much did the temps drop after installing the watercooling?
I was just on the Frozen cpu website and was ready to submit my order for this kit... Not sure if it will cool much more than my Koolance Exos 1 (again not trying to be a smartass) but then again using 1.55volts and I see temps over 55c at times :(
Also as far as mounting that radiator. It is setup so I can use the existing mounting holes for my 80mm fans as well? I don't have a single 120mm in the rear, I have 2 80mm. It looked like it was 'adjustable' like that.
Is that green cooling liquid UV reactive or do I need to buy the die?
Sorry for all the questions but, I am 'this' close to getting this kit in hopes of hitting 2.8+ghz (stable@2.9ghz@1.6v now but too hot) wile staying well under 50c under full load.
To think I'm selling my Exos and getting this kit, just so I can get maybe 15 more FPS
Doesn't matter. I put my res at the bottom of the system next to the pump so that it would be easier to fill. It bleeds all the same. The whole "highest part of the system" thing mostly just applies to bleed lines and not a res.Quote:

-what's a good 2x120mm shroud? most I've seen are single 120mm ones, and I don't know if there's enough space on the radiator to fit 2 of those single shrouds.
pull is better.. not sure if there are any shrouds that fit the apex's radiator..
A friend has the Apex Extreme and he bought 2 very cheap 120MM fans and then gut it out to use the shell as shroud.Quote:
