so in order to get the new mobo, people need to ditch their old board AND get a new PSU? I doubt DFI would be foolish enough to make people dump some expensive hardwares.

Let's all just remember that we haven't heard anything official on the PSU requirements of this board. It's entirely possible that 20 + 4-pin P4 PSU's will work fine. DFI will probably highly suggest a 24 pin, and I'll bet that they'll also say something like "if you plan to use a X2, it is highly recommended that you use a PSU with an additional 8-pin connector."
I know the new rev of ocz 600w powerstream has the 8pin that will actually split to 2x4 pin. I think all the new atx v2.01 standard psu's will have them
My OCZ 520 WATT PowerStream also has 8 PIN power.
My Powerstream doesn't have the 8-ping and no 6-pin for vid. card either. Darn
Zippy 700W, I know they do come with both 4 and 8 pin plugs :P Too bad someone whose loving new AMD chips all the time has it now...

ps.anyone want to buy a modstream :)
yeah they are upgrading the 520's, 600's all come with the 8(2xp4)pin. You probly have the older model.

Looks like the ocz 420w powerstream has it too. just not the same kind that separate.
Mine came with 8 pins p4 atx connector and 24pins, but I cut them off and replaced them with 4 & 20 pins :)

Sucks to you :)
Looks like that because of this board I'll be forced to buy a Zippy after all :D
im just curious whether this board can reach high HTT like the NF4.
i just ordered a NF4 SLI-DR ...hope i didnt make the wrong decision (again) :(
And you did that why?Quote:

yes strider it does same for the 600w
Alot of you guys sure throw in the towel early, jeeezzz
Heres your adapter for 4 pin P4 to 8 Pin...

You don't even need an adaptor. 4 pin should plug right into it
Performance not so great, but hey let's wait for final drivers etc.
Hmm, needs that 8-pin connector eh? wow, the Forton 550w (server, bleh) PSU sitting on my desk (because I'm too lazy to convert the 24-pins to my 20-pin Neo2) is looking excellent :p Especially considering it's probably a year old...
I was wrong to say that I do not have 8-pin on my 520W PowerStreams. They are both oldest revision and they both have it.
Would the PC power and cooling 510 Express SLI be comapatible with no adapters?
yes, i have one and it has the 8 pin connector
