If thats the temps you are getting jhatfie I would definately consider taking the IHS off as some of these later weeks definately have bad core/IHS contact :)
Have people been having any luck lately with removing the IHS? I removed mine on my old CO 3000+ and Newcastle 3200+ and the gains were small. Of course I think they made good contact with the core and IHS in the first place.
Fullup3, how's your new 3200+ 0520DPMW performing? I got the same stepping and it's no better than my 3200+ 0516EPGW. Needs >1.67 vcore to run 2650MHz stable.Quote:

I don't have the memory timings memorized, I can post it later on request later, but I have run memtest on these TCC5 sticks at 300HTT with the cpu at a low 8x multiplier. I did relax the memory timings but it didn't help with the overclock. I think I can rule out the memory as being the gate.
My temperatures appear to be ok. I got a fan blowing over the chipset w/nb47j HS and mosfets keeping them at 45C and 48C respectively under load. The cpu temperature has hit 53C during CPUSTRESS at 2750MHz with 1.7v. CPU is not Prime95 and OCCT stable at these freq and voltage.
Except for the PSU, which is now a Seasonic S12-500W, the rest of my rig is the same as in my signature.
And BIOS is currently at 618-2. Have tried other earlier bios with no discernable difference to the overclocking.
Any help/suggestion I can follow up with will be much appreciated. Thanks.
Firstly reduce your Vcore, 1.7 is too much on air !
What Vdimm are you using ??, can you post a screenie of A64 Tweaker Ver 1.6 with CPU-Z ??

alphaone, the 2.75GHz and 1.7v vcore was just a 1-time experiment to see if I can even get SuperPI to run since I'm seeing people running stable at 2.7+GHz. My goal is to get max freq with 1.50-1.55v vcore.

Hey guys, got one of these babys yesterday (3200+) and all i can say is WOW!. She did 260x10 on 1.48v 8 hrs prime stable on stock cooling! I think i have a gem here!!

Hey fullup3, I really hope your chip performs as expected.
Since I started putting together my new A64 system 2 months ago, I've tried 2 different PSUs, 3 sets of Memory sticks, 2 3200+ steppings, 2 HSFs, every possible BIOS settings (well maybe not every one) and my overclock results have not changed. At this point I'm inclined to think it's my board limiting the cpus' potential since it and the video card are the only 2 components that have not been swapped. I doubt the video card is restricting my overclock.
So I'm going to order a new MB. Not sure I want another PCIe MB though.
smakme here is a screenshot of my current settings for as per my sig.
I have a MAJOR problem that limits my max HTT to under 290 that is unfixable (and please trust me, I have tried EVERYTHING) and is either the CPU or mobo at fault, but still @ 2800MHz I am not complaining :)
These settings can be tweaked to gain ~ 1 second less using Super Pi mod 1.4 so they are VERY stable, I hope this helps you :)

Well, it looks like yet again I have missed out on getting one of the really good venices. this week 20 dpmw needs 1.6 volts to get to 2500mhz. And even then it isn't super pi 1m stable. This is the worst one yet. I'll keep tinkering with it and let you all know, but as of now, it looks like my week 16 is still gonna be safe.

Just popped the sucker in...
1. This thing is HOT. MUCH hotter than my week 24 which is a little hotter than my week 15 which is a little hotter than my week 16. This thing seems about as hot as a Winchester.
2. This thing looks to clock almost if not as well as my week 15. I'm not pushing it hard, but with mem @ 100 (just to test core) I'm priming @ 2750 @ 1.55vcore now for ~ 5 min. Don't jinx me.
