God damn :(
The wait isn´t over yet.
Now when I have a new can of LN2, the motherboard dies.
The only good thing in this sacrifice is that I found out how high the cpu can reach.

Those two mosfets died at the same time during SuperPI 8M (in fourth pass) run at 6.7GHz with 1.72V (real)..

Dead motherboard and the terrible "jackpot smell" in my workshop aren´t the only problems that I currently have.
With 3:4 divider the highest benchable FSB is 365 (timings don´t matter).
I have already benched at 365FSB, so I need either figure out the FSB VTT mod or get a P4 670 cpu with higher multiplier. 1:1 divider even with 3-2-2-1 timings is slow as hell :(

Sorry to hear on the mobo and finding the limits of the FSB speed. GL on however you decide to get around this.

Fugger; DFI 925XE would be my second choice, but there is only one bios for the board and that doesn´t support N0 / 6xx series stepping cpu´s.
DFI won´t make any new bios versions for this board.

I can use 925X board bios, but then the highest DDR2 VDD is 1.8V for dual channel...

I´ll receive my Corsair 8000UL parts next week, so I´ll try some 4-4-4-1 action then. Even with those relaxed latencies, DDR1400 should be quite fast :D

I'm searching for a m/b which can handle 400Mhz fsb and high vcores (1.7 at least), and this topic is full of great overclockers :D

Sorry to hear about your mobo Stilt. 6.7 is amazing though. Maybe u should look into making a fifth stage cpu power circuit like someone else did on these forums with an NF-7. Hopefully you can get ram that runs 370+.

All Abit 945/955 boards, Asus P5WD2 and MSI P4N.

I will probably go for an AW8-Max, as my probably-dead AA8XE handles 380Mhz fsb without any issue (cpu limited), I hope the nex generation is at least as good :D

Congrats in the awesome oc and pi time.

I havent really been searching the forums the past few days and thn i stumble across this and i keep reading hoping to see the pi record beaten by a fair bit and then i see that the mobo died. H.opefully the next one is just as good if not beter.....and lives a nice long life

sad to hear the board died... hope the new one to be as good as this one
