@uclajd
have you try single channel with your board ? (one memory stick)
If that no works with higher fsb your board are really limited.
Asus P4P800-SE rocks ;) :D

uclajd: How much does a 760 cost in your area/where did you purchase? It's $950+ (CDN ) anywhere I go here in Canada.
Thanks
PS: I get a kick out of the screenies with the Intel CPU Identification utility warning us that we have an overclocked cpu! HA!
Of the P4Ps, it appears so. I haven't looked into the P4Cs. Be sure to check the Dothan overclocking thread and see what they are all using. Some P4Cs in there.Quote:

and i jus cnt seem 2 get over 2.4Ghz no matter wat the voltage :(
i mean anything over 160fsb and my system becomes unstable instantly, altho its stable @ 15x160 = 2.4 with about 1.52v .........
so im starting 2 belive that its somting else holdin me back and not the cpu?
ive tried 2 disable turbo and i still get the same results
also there is a option in the cpu section of the bios, i belive its called "cpu vid" this is set at "62" .... should i change it? of so 2 wat value?
shigs
Hi, sorry, if this has been posted before, but this link contains very useful information on size/shape of any heatsink and the actual chip itself
http://download.intel.com/design/int...d/30599301.pdf
Who do we contact about sticky-fying this thread?
130+ posts in 10 days is a helluva lot better than some of these stickies have done, and just about everyone seems intriged with these Dothans.
I have a P4P800se and used a Banias 1400 to test (I didn't knew if it was updated to the latest bios)
Surprisingly the board boots :) (bios rev 1005)
So I didn't need a P4 cpu to flash the board :p.
Dunno if a banias will boot on other boards or bios revisions
Just orderd a 2nd ct-479 and 1.6 533fsb m730 dothan and all should be with me wednesday.
The 400fsb 1.6 is going in a silverston tek lc13b HTPC case and i also orderd there own heatpipe cooler too should have some fun mouting that with the ct-479 but will be worth it.
nobody have a p4p800 deluxe to try with??? i have one but no dothan/ct-479...whaitnig for them...
Uclajd said that is not the best combo...

setting 200fsb with the BSEL pins is easy, in 400 mode just sleave or remove BSEL1 and you force a boot at 200fsb.
Now you do that with a 400fsb dothan and you will be forcing a boot at max multi x 200fsb....not good.
What would be a LOT better for us is for Abit to release a bios that supports the dothan on the IC7...now that would get us cooking on gas ;)
I mailed Asus 5 times, they choose to ignore me, i will now try an alternative method of getting them to help us out here.
the thing really needed is the multi change in bios...
Hello to everybody, which Bios are you using for Asus P4P800-E DLX. Can I use 1007.003 from Asus P4P800-E non DLX?
Thank you!
Your efforts are greatly appreciated Sir!Quote:
