how do you tell btwn D43 and D5
would it be worth trying to run at 1T on this NF2 board, my ram has head some stable headroom 241mhz 2.5-3-3-11 but my board dosent like it....should i be able to run at 1T?

in theory, although it wasn't for mine. It looks as though OcUK have changed the stock again, if you're all getting Hynix now. Unlucky really, cos this UTT stuff is awesome.
hmm. i tried everything up to 3.2V. 2.6 is the most stable. :S

memtest stable at 2.65vdimm but my nf7-s dosent like it that low in windows and the computer crashes.... im fine at 2.95vdimm, hopefully after more burning in ill be fine at 2.85vdimm in windows... would upping my NB voltage help?
the pcb for that looks very different to mine. On mine there are traces everywhere, yours seems to be virtually empty (unless the camera is very bad?)Quote:

active cooling these sticks w/ heatspreaders are useless to get rid of errors... i broke out my old 80mm tornado (to loud for me to run on my SP-97) and tried to see if it would help... and it did nothing.... they like to be warm... starting memtest fresh, after being in windows a few hours or it being off and getting cold, it seems to error some, but when they warm up they stabelize and i get 0 errors
but yea, when i first received the modules i thought they was a POS, they wouldnt even do stock timming and errors out, which they still refuse to do stock, so i filled out the rma stuff and NewEgg is going to cross ship me these 2 sticks for OCX Value (VX)
it may be a good decision, or a bad, i know these sticks are a fairly good set, but ive also had PC2700 @ 3-4-4-11, 2.9v, 238mhz and one stick was kingston and the other samsung... so ive had fairly good luck with these... maybe i can do 230 or 235 @ 2-2-2-11 w/ 2.96v or mess with my rails and go for 3-3.1
bad news on the ram
They LOVE voltage... they LOVE it so much that it wont do 200 2.5-3-3-11 (2.5-3-3-6 is stock timmings) at 2.75 or 2.85vdimm
i got 80 errors on the first loop of test 5 @ 2.75 w/ stock voltage, and 37,552 errors @ 2.85 w/ stock timmings, i put it back to 238mhz 2.5-2-2-11 @2.85 and i got 2 errors after 10 loops, the errors was in the usual addresses ive always seen them in 496.X mb and 512.X mb... it seems that the memory is dieing, i noticed errors creaping into memtest at 241mhz over the past day or two, though it seems that the errors was less frequent. 496.5 and 512.5 always gave me errors.....
when i swap the ram in the slots, no matter what timmings i get 7k+ errors at stock or overclocked settings... as long as have them in the order i do now, the errors have been non existant at the speeds im running at currently
the OCZ Value "VX" is in the mail right now, i have sent newegg the new order number and the rma number for the restock fee waver that the support personel said they would send, b/c of defective ram
The ram was good while it lasted :( ... good chips, but either theyre dieing or i have had a damaged/defective chip and its finnaly showing its ugly face
those probably weren't UTT, the product code didn't have bhdc in it, which is a rather distinctive feature of it. If they were, i guess they lived up to their UTT (UnTesTed) name. Mine won't even go above 2.9v at the moment without erroring. Total opposite of yours!
they wernt UTT, lol, earlier i mentioned they was Hynix Chips, b/c of the large dot in the lower right corner, im suspecting it was Hynix D5 b/c of the stock latencies
i just recently bought a 1x1024 stick of geil value DDR400 for $85. It came with stock timings of 3-4-4-8. I am currently running it at 240 fsb, 2.5-3-3-8. I want to find out what chips i have, cause this is a good OC for this stuff.

Well I got some BHDC, PN1353-SN5000939. I don't know if this is UTT or not. I've 'booted' (see later) at 2-3-3-5 1T 200mhz and it has the two metal strips. Any lower on TRCD and TRP throws up thousands of errors but then again I did it in the orange slots of my Ultra-D using the TCCD BIOS 510-3. I'll have to try the BH5 BIOS 510-2 or 510-1 before I can really know.
I think it's definitely a BIOS thing though because the moment I switch to CAS2, no matter how many passes of memtest I have just run, I get the 'Error loading Operating system' at the RAID screen. I put my TCCD back in and it boots fine. Need to test these properly.
try using a normal board. They can't boot 2-3-3-11 STILL on my abit, it might be a BIOS issue, but i can't be bothered to re-flash right now (good old exams, and all that).

you really need to increase the voltage on the memory to at least 3.0v+ to see the memory fly. If it has those metal stips then it's UTT 100%.
It's best to burn then in initially for a few hours at 3.0v+ just to get them warmed up ;) for some high HTT action
