:D That's great Conrad, good luck the 3rd time. I still wonder if DFI forgot about me, see SIG............ :(Quote:

Have they shipped it out to you yet or are they still trying to figure out what happened to it?
:( The state of RMA is still the same since the board arrived to DFI on FEB/22 - only the receivement is confirmed, nothing more, all the other fields are empty..... :toast:Quote:

Yes, it's brand new. I popped off the chipset fan to apply some AS5 and noticed that it has the factory white goo that they like to use. My other board had AS5 on it so it would've been obvious if they just repaired it. All other items in the box are sealed, so those are new as well.
 OOps - DFI told me to send only the naked board without equipment - how comes that You'd get that completely ? :toast:Quote:

And here is another SLi-DR dead! 3 leds burning and no boot. Tried everything a freak can do ;) No avail. RMAd it ... CPU and RAM not dead, working great in others mobos. SLI-DR just died without warning.
I bought a new one with Revision AA0 (NOT A00) and hopefully this one will be stable.
If the second one will die too --->:banana::banana::banana: it DFI, back to the noob asus/msi or whatever.
sorry for your loss:(

Sorry to hear of your loss bro :(
If you would please be so kind, could you go over to this thread and help by providing what info you can? (oh, and was yours a A00 rev?)
Thanks in advance and Happy Hunting when your new one arrives :toast:
Its possible on your first setup that you had a faulty ram stick.. cuz i have that prob now. also check that your 12v 4 pin connector wasnt bending the transistor
Hey bro, just so you know its not just you... I picked up an Ultra-D a week ago and after three hours after my system was up and running and all was installed, I rebooted and hung black screen and 4 leds lit. Worked with Rgone and still no go, he told me to RMA the board. I walked into Fry's picked up another board same day, and it is running strong now for a week so far oc'ed. BTW my first board was an A02, the Fry's replacement board is an A00, which I yesterday flashed to the newest bios.
Perchance could I get you to go over here and fill in the blanks Hassan? Thanks :toast:
I have same problem. i just got the DFI Ultra-D and ther is no boot what so ever. 4 leds light op, and everything sound noirmal, but only blank screen:(
Hahaha :D. I'm sorry for laughing, but isnt it a great feeling to finally get the "best board out there" and it is DOA?Quote:

At first it pisses the living :banana::banana::banana: out of you, but when it's your 3rd board, going to the same guy, and he tells you he'll never sell you another board its funny :D DFI NF4 has this nastu habbit of dying, I have a A01 board, so in theory its the first and still bad mobo, but it's worked withóut a hitch, apart from the few problems I found in regards to ocing it.
Sorry for my twisted humour, but dying motherboards are no longer tragic for me, its more of an entertainment. The situation changes of course in HCC's case, when the RMA is taking much too long. I have always had the luck of having my board replaced in the local store within minutes, and always checking the replacements in the store.
When you wait for 2 months in RMA, it's no longer fun. But in DK I have always had luck with SHG and the local store(s).

But anyway....i hope soon i will get some parts that all work at the same time ,so i can actely try boot up a computer :D

Dying HW is a plague, but as long as the RMA goes through without much trouble its not as bad as it could be, as in HCC's case :(
Soundz exactly like mine, mine happened after i flashed to a new bios. Ive sent the bios to be hotflashed by a friend, im hoping that that is wht the problem is a scrambled bios. Hope the board is not dead, tis not even two weeks old.Quote:
