Now i have the f4 bios from the K8NSNXP 939 on my K8NS Ultra 939.
I turnd the pc on and waited about 20seconds an then the Vapochill LS.
After win xp prof I started everest to watch the temperatures.
I saw +20 +19 +18......+1 0 and than the system freeze. :confused:
I'll do that :bsod: if i can't find a way to fix the problem.
You'll probally have to wait for a new bios fix, or ask someone to mod the existing one. For the MSI and Asus mobo this work. My guess is this is the same for the Gigabyte.
You might wanna try looking for some beta's...
Okay people, we need to hear more about this success stories... where are they? :P
Especially with K8N Neo2 and winnie subzero'd :P
Ya, someone else chime in and let us know if it's working 100% with the new bios and cold boot issues. Shesh, i've got no free time lately to set my winny back up under the mach but i will definately get it done this weekend and post back on progress or failure. (I know i've been saying that but this weekend for sure :D )
the cause is probably a too fast fall of temperature , i used a waterchiller the falling is slower than with a promy.
After a 2 week wait my new 3500 winnie arrived, and with 1.41bios I made it to windows and played around for a while without crashing. Was able to reboot without claering cmos, and doing some stressing now.
Only issue now is that the CPU hits the same roadblock at 2950 the my newcastle hit. Oh well, at least it's working
Don't complain about only getting 2.95ghz comeon! Thats great!

I'ts not that it's bad, but rather dissapointing, that the CPU was not the holdup. rather the board, or PSU or ram. But hey thats off topic. at least the winnie is frozen. Thats what I'm finnaly happy about.
I couldn't get my winnie over 2.9 Ghz either. That was reason enough for me trade the cpu for a new board. My NC does an easy 3 Ghz.Quote:

I only used the post to avoid make two posts together...
For some days I was tempted to write some lines about this...
Like other users, I was interested in solve my under zero problem, so I can use my rig with my Vapo LS.
If this was my only interest, and didn't want to help anyone to solve the problem (like others helped me before... Isn't this one of the pourposes of this foruns?), I simply didn't try to help by posting all the positive/negative steps that I've experienced, like I've done...
I din't crack the solution... I only tested the bios and other stuff, that other users were talking (in they experiences too), in my rig and informed all of you about my experience and all the steps I've passed through.
Well, my system is allright with this bios, concerning the sub-zero problems experienced before with earlier bioses.
My "problem" right now it to get some good overclocking, but this is other question...
Some of the users in these foruns are allways waiting that someone more tests these kind of things (mod's, beta bios, etc...), and only after some well succeeded experiences, then they think about trying it themselfs. Instead of that, they could help and try too, so these kind of problems can be solved more quickly, and the "damage in the wallet" can be distributed sometimes :)
We can't forget that some users, to anchieve a solution for a problem, can "blow up" they're material experimenting things. After this, they tell us how it happened, what you must and must not do, avoiding that the same mistake occurs to others.
Sorry all for this off-topic, and sorry if this is only a bug in my mind :stick:
i find it quite amusing that no-body here has picked up on the fact that Ratax is using a Wifi version of the Neo2, which if anything points to a correlation :stick:

This is my experience with 2 winny... MSI and Vapo (Bios 1.41b)
CPU 1. no boot. finish :)
CPU 2. It seems to go...but it does not work :(
CPU 2 under watercooling with bios 1.41 and vcore max(1.6v) is benchable superpi and 3DMark 2k1 a 2800Mhz max with temp water +20°.
Temperature from bios 38°
Under Vapochill with bios 1.41 and vcore max(1.6v) is benchable superpi and 3DMark 2k1 a 2700Mhz max(unstable) with temp display vapo -53° -55°
Temperature from bios fixed +40° :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:
The conctact cpu-blockvapo is very perfect !! Very incredible -53° -55° under work!!!! not possible!!! winchester it crazy under zero?
Well more bad news just tried my K8N NEO2 with my 3500+ winchester, once I turn on the switch on my OCZ 520 system turned on automatically (really annoying), went into bios, once I was in bios I was in HW monitor and watched the temp go down. Once evap hit -10 bios froze HW monitor was showing 189 C and just froze.
My K8N NEO2 is 1.4b1 bios and has S. Taiwan chipset.
Weird thing I did this time, was I rebooted and just stayed in bios and didn't go into HW monitor, temp on evap was -55C and nothing bad happened. Then I hit F10 to save, and reboot and comp didn't boot.
So all in all I have to say MSI and AMD can blow me. I had my rear case fan plugged into CPU header and the CPU RPM on HW Monitor showed 0 even though fan was running. So I'm going to try again with no rear fan in CPU header.
Heh, after 3 weenies and 3 mobos (9 combination) and 2 full roll of seal strings, I think I can sit and ask others to try if they wish... :P Not going to spend more money atm. As for the person with water chiller, your temp just didn't hit low enough to cause reboot issue I think. Which is really cool as it probably will get 95% of what that chip has to offer. I just don't enjoy the idea of throwing away my nice mach2 unit nor condensation proofing water line.
As for Ratax, what is your LS booting temp at now? TIA.
