first run 15 x 300 = 4500mHz @ 1.63V
3:2 DDR400, 2-3-2-5 2.8V

Again this was a first run....no BSOD's no failed OC's...just "money"

Too bad Prescott's SUCK, eh guys?

well if you think of how people get 4ghz+ ocs on air with the latest nws 4.5 with dry ice isnt really amazing. it seems that heat is what keeps c1 prescotts from ocing nicely, if you can remove the heat they seem to clock nicely.

try lowering the vcore and see whats the lowest vcore you reach 4.5ghz with

4538 P4EE ES macci , i think he could run at higher clocks but he got worse scores because of async probs.

I overclocked my P4 2.0a to 2.4ghz with pc2100 ram , and came up with the same error in Pifast bench. cpu/ram was 1:1.

does Dry Ice achieve the same cooling effect as triple phase prom?

yup,
motherboard (pre-HIPRO5) gave out at 307mHz. I could just "feel" that it's NOT the CPU. It did 307 at 1.64V, all the way to 1.72V, no change. SO the only way to go from here is with some HIPRO5 mods... will start tonight.
BTW, my temps were not THAT great....any of the r404/507 guys will match these results...
Will pull some benchies now.

how are you using clockgen?
from all I seen, clockgen will either freeze or reboot your PC upon trying to use it on a Prescott.

My older copy of CG didn't work, so I d/l the latest and it's OK.
Still get some instability sometimes when opening...
and sometimes the results don't jive with CPU-Z

So any benches at at least 4.2Ghz? I don't expect much seeing you're running underclocked ram and such but i just wanna see if it scores higher than stock FX-51/9800XT (~21.9k).

They level off at the top if you ask me..

I've run 3DMark01....but only with a default R9700...
The numbers are certainly unimpressive :D
