teh DFI NFII boards take teh vdimm of teh 5v rail, not the 3.3 so your safe to go as high as you want. i have 3.5v on my line, and vdimm at 3.7, it works just fine.

It´s stil lives and i´m using it now when i´m writing this..
WOW man!!! Nice job on the mini heatsinks for every electronic component and their dog... :toast:
What are they? Homemade jobies? Looks very cool btw. Keep up the good work.
hehe, one of the hottest chips is right to the left of the agp slot.... I believe its a PLL and its naked there.
Yeah iknow that :) , thats is the next chip to cool :).(need to fix that heatshink,it was to big :/) . The crystals was to close :/Quote:

But it´s fair from hottest for me it´s only <-44c
OPP, any progress?
nice home made cooling there lastviking, please post an updated pic if u ever get around to adding more :D
Hey OPP, here is the thread to all the Tictac bios's for nf7 rev 2.0. Hope they help you as much as they helped me.

I believe OPP got sidetracked for a bit as he's doing the FX51 system at the moment(or yesterday) topping 3DMark 2003:)Quote:

poor macci.. maybe he has a higher score saved. :D
Back to this prodject.
Gunna do some NF7 mods now.
BTW: My Mobile is only good for 2850 on 404A cooling.
And the Shuttle says it was "Made in Taiwan" :D

It's details are listed somewhere in this thread, week and all that.

Damn, i wanted a mobile 2500 but newegg doesnt shipp to Canada  :cussing:
I hooked up mem and vdd mods to NF7, mem booted up at 3.3V :D
Funny thing is with VDD doing 1.71V I couldn't get into windows at 240. Does the NF7 have a few funky FSB numbers that don't work with the board??
Back of the chipset at stock cooling is 49c under load. I can't imagine what it will be like at 1.9V :D
And you guys don't think better cooling will Help.:D
OPP
Better cooling and higher Vdd helped me, dunno bout the rest of em.
Perhaps the 2500+ mobiles clock higher? Or borrow LORD's chip. ;)
have the same problem with my a7n8x, can run a certain fsb w/o any probs when oced with clockgen, but cant boot at the same fsb... weird...
Sounds like the NB needs watercooling stat!
dont know about that.. i've tried higher vdd, higher agp mhz, higher agp voltage, higher pci latency... i just can't get a sandra bench at 250fsb.
my absolute max is 249.
With 1.7V vdd I got to 236 stable at 49c load
With 1.8V vdd I got up to big old 238 stable with 51c load.
Now I'm at 1.9V vdd at 240.
It's looking to me that good cooling on the NB will help get higher FSB/Mem. And this was point. After taking it as high as possable at 1.9 vdd I'll cool the NB with better and better cooling and see if I can go up.
This for agressive timings by the way.
Well, 5-2-2 anyway. Things may differ at non agressive timings for all I know.
OPP
Get that ubercooler on the nb and see what she's got! I'm egar to see improvements too.
OPP, 10-2-2-2.0 or 11-2-2-2.0 should be noticeably faster than 5-2-2-2.0.
Give it a shot. :)
I'm useing 3D2001 for stress testing.
I only made it to 239 3D proofed, NB temps get very hot at 1.9V vdd.
Which i think will prove that the higher the VDD the further you'll go but only if cool the bridge, we'll see.
Heres somthing cool, 3D has the seven tests. The tests that stressed the NB the most were the Lobbys (Bandwidth) :D during those 2 lobby tests the temps were peaking at 55.5c, when I went into nature the temps quickly dropped 1c to 54.3c.
Gunna slap on a swifty 159 cooler and strat again.
