Guys, since I've never owned good PSC kit, what is considered to be a "decent" result? Is 1200 7-11-7 1.7V with 3770K ok?
I've got these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2009404183...84.m1439.l2649
and these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1510778445...84.m1439.l2649
The G.Skill seems like utter crap and the heatspreaders on one of the sticks had been removed from the seller (not mentioned in the auction ofc). It actually fell off right after I unpacked them.
I hoped to be better than my other BBSE - Trident 2000C9.
Corsairs seem a lot better, but I still have to see what's up with the board, because I can't boot 2600 divider yet (asrock Z77 oc formula, which is new to me).
Btw, thanks Sam for collecting all these auctions, however that has a bad side too - many people are watching them and prices go higher than usual, which is bad for poor overclockers like me :p

1200 7-11-7 with 1.7V is excellent is twcl is 7 or 6,mediocre if twcl is 8.

Can someone confirm or deny, had keep one eye on specific listing...
32GB (4x8GB) GeIL EVO Veloce Quad Channel DDR3-2133 DIMM CL 11-11-11-36 should be Hynix CFR (dual-sided)? Any hope for a decent bandwidth with Haswell if I prefer 32GB with 8GB dimms?
Only found IC information about Veloce 2133 10-11-11-30 2N 1.50 V 4GB - Hynix H5TQ2G83CFR.
-
CFR can never be on 8GB sticks ;) - they are 2gbit ICs, meaning that 4gb sticks are already dual sided if they use CFR - the 8GB Geil sticks you watch are most likely dual sided Samsung B 4GBit or Hynix MFR
-
Thanks. Yes, silly me, of course MFR was single sided 4GB and dual 8GB modules.
Huh, anyway if you are not involved it seems real science :)
Thank you TaPaKaH as well, nice thread, very helpful- just got perfect PSC-s. Bit hard to run tight on X58 due to needed QPI voltage for Bloomfield but my 4770K is on the way :D
