Why? Don't forget, all Nvidia cards this generation are quite overpriced compared to their predecessors. The GTX590 carried an MSRP of $699. $999 is a hefty $300 more. I wouldn't say it is impossible. But the same money for a single GPU card is utterly insane - even for Nvidia. And 6GB just makes the card more power hungry and expensive, and for what?Quote:

actually before new gen gpu's released generally there is always some rumors about a card (like titan in this example) that seems like a dual gpu card which is never true about nvidia or ati (for one at every gen there can not be two rumours like this for two brands at the same time. i think this is a rule for them :P). now let's see this is going to be true or not :) .

As Titan isn't released yet, I don't think you can deduct anything from his/her CPU. If someone with a 2600K gets his/her hands on a Titan (maybe for loan from a buddy who works at Foxconn or whatever), what does the CPU matter? They certainly won't say "hey, keep it, I only have a 2600K". LOL :D

I have it from good authority that Titan has 2 SLI connectors. So yes, one GPU. My thesis from earlier was wrong.

modded skyrim can easily fill 6GB buffer at 1080p/no aa ;)
Reasonably modded Skyrim is fine with 1.5GB for 1080p. You don't get a significant quality increase by raising the requirements to 6GB.Quote:
