AMD says "Prove it!"

I can't play with crossfire enable on my 2gbs 5870 cards enable on 11.2 :( in GTA:IV
I can't change the graphics settings either it's locked 800 x 600 everything on low even though it says I have 202/4096mb of video memory use..:/
how ever this did make it pop in to window mode on me the first time ever on GTA:IV

What actually happens is you get the max detail with the - bais, and if you enable AF, it blurs all the mip maps, alot, looks horrible.

what you are running into are either engine specific or driver specific issues to get lower quality with AF.

Anisotropic gives the best quality at 8x or 16x. At 2x-4x you may as well just stick to trilinear.

Personally I max out AF in favor of AA and sharpen texture LOD slightly.

I JUST realized that the lod bais settings were removed fom the newer drivers, nvidia ones.
They were replaced with new settings, diff names in the registry.
I'm trying to track them down, apparently nHancher can do some of it, but it doesn't seem to run on my win7 (I got .net installed, it just shows an intro title like that and then crashes silently).

This blows...
For a while there I thought something was really wrong with my win2k3 (I knew that already), for some reason alot of my vga tweaks weren't doing anything.
So I installed a new os, still the same.
Come to find out, everything has to be redone lol.

I should of paid more attention to this thread :shakes::
