I've been able to down vCore for .01v, bench without crashes at 5.5 and more gflops due to better mem timmings

Someone could please host the BIOS 1298 ? It ain't online no more :s
EDIT: new link
I just received my B3 MIVE today. Install ed two Asus gtx 570 DCUII's. Sli worked for a little while, now the card in the 4th slot over (16x slot 8x electrical) doesnt show up in windows anymore. I swapped cards from slot 1-4 and back again to no avail. Both cards work fine, but neither works in slot 4 at all anymore. Has anyone else had any issues such as this? With these 3 slot cards this is the only layout that fits.
If I remember it correctly, there was a site that reviewed this board and kept saying it kept killing their CPUs. And for that reason alone they wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Was it just their unlucky day or what? How likely is that?
Have had no trouble at all with this board currently running 5.4Ghz and doesnt miss abeat! Best board have ever had! Will wait for socket 2011 now for next upgrade!
Have to wonder what type of testing they are doing when nobody else has had this problem. Review sites, Beta testers or users.
Newegg has them in stock ... Get them while you can.
Edit: 4:07pm (EST) - If you didn't get one ... they all gone ...
Well, I turned on my pc and a flame lit up cole to the cpu fan header, but a good inch away from the mouting screws. The smell was bad. I cut power immediately. RMA'd the board today and luckily they had one unallocated to exchange with me.
My SLI works again. All other parts seem unaffected. System stable. Very odd.
I had the DLX, but since the B3 exchange I opted for the MIVE in return.
I love this board. Much nicer than the DLX imho. Probably OC similar though.
Pros
-I'm lazy so I just hit cpu level up 4.6ghz@1.35v and bamn prime stable over 3 hours blend and small fft. Love that.
- All of the extra fan ports.
- Thermal sensors included.
- 3 way sli
- I prefer the color scheme.
Cons
- Price
- Don't like the 4th PCIe 16x lane (8x electrical) as only half of it is soldered to the board and feels like it could really render the board useless if the card comes out wrong.
bios 1298.
Suddenly bclk stuck at 100MHz. cant adjust d.
reflash is not helping
AI Suite, IME and INF reinstalled, no help as well.
I've had similar probs on that bios. I can't get past post at even 4.7ghz using the exact same settings that are 24/7 stable on 1090. Weird.
I used bios flashback to go back from 1298 to 1090 ( much better bios imo ).
hmm dunno this is correct but
the molex connector near the rog sign is NOT for pcie
its for usb power
my roccat kave was givin me bsod on gamin on warcraft 3 ( yup i am gaming 4.95ghz with a gtx580 for this game only :P ) via thumbdrive ( lol my final test for mem stability)
plugged in the molex and the issue disappeared.
Interesting. I'm about to get a 2nd 580 for SLI, so does that mean I need to plug in the bottom molex and not the one near the ioh/nf200 chips?
I don't see why you would need both for 2 card SLI. I've had numerous SLI & crossfire setups since the NF4 days, and while I've had some boards that require 1 power connector I've also had some that have none and work fine. On the M4E I kinda assumed that u may need one molex for 2 card SLI and both if u are running tri-SLI.
I would think they're just there to relieve all the power having to come the main connector. If you can spread the power delivery around I can see the benefit in that. An extra 75W per card through the main connector is a lot.
Back in Stock at the egg -------> H E R E
And once again it's OOS.
