Apparently the 'Absolute Maximum and Minimum Ratings' section is gone in the SB datasheet. I checked both parts of the main sheet and the socket specifications, and it's nowhere to be found.Quote:

I m a bit puzzled here being somewhat experienced from before, but..
I ve had the chance to "try " this mobo instead of ASUS P8P67A DL - the ASUS d go to my friend MP :D
I have searched the F5x file on HWBOT- named xxxx.F5X - iI ve renamed the extension F5x to xxx.bin , but Q Flash s giving me the " invalid BIOS image " -did I miss something - the files are 4096 KB allright both the same ?? :confused:

EDIT: managed to flash it with the new version of@BIOS, the fix just works for the D2s , so I ll have to wait for it / I got an ES now /
BTW the board recovered itself and I ve got again the BIOS F2
You can once you are happy with a bios flash/update the backup bios. Its in the thread somewhere just hit alt & f12 at the post screen.Quote:

On POST, just press and hold Alt-F12 till the mobo prompts you if you want to flash the backup BIOS with the main BIOS, press Y and it's done.
THX guys, on 10th there ll be 2 2500Ks waiting for me , I ll report back :) nice weekend - edit: tried to hold ALt-F12 during POST on BIOS F4 and F5a , all I had was just "flashpoint " and reboot- gotta get rid of F2 on the backup BIOS chip. BTW on the manuel there s written that " for the sake of safety users cannot flash the backup BIOS chip-)"
Do it as soon as it posts and make sure quick boot is disabled

Just got the UD4 version of this board, im really liking the matte finish on the pcb, this is one bad ass looking board.
Got my UD5 last night and I really like what I see so far. Now its chip time.:D
Gotta wait till sunday to grab the CPU's, my local frys has 5, i will be at the store before it opens, to ensure i get one, i hope they price match micro center.
Why does it have to sets of BIOS old type and new type UEFI BIOS? I thought everything was going to just transition to UEFI?

Great to see lots of you getting the ud5 and chips now and look forward to some results.
I'll tidy the thread up a bit and move these little tips etc to the front when i get back from working away.

Just ordered my 2600K and UD5. Will pick it up Monday probly. Is the latest BIOS F5x for the UD5 ? UD7 and UD4 already got F6x...

What's the absoluty MAX vCore and VTT for 24/7 ? Temperatures?
Waiting for results guys !!! I can't wait for my stuff tomorrow ! I'll be putting the latest bios right away as soon as i install the OS. The problem is tho i wont be using the complete Defaults of the bios, it will have to be switched to AHCI due to my Intel SSD for it to properly install the OS, i hope this little option wont affect me flashing to the new BIOS through Windows.
