Set the jumper to clear cmos, pull the power out of PSU and let it sit for about 10 minutes before putting the jumper back.
10 minutes?? that's nuts! 10 seconds is enough with all power out.
and shroomy, i'm gonna go through all 48 of TicTac's bios', looking for the highest bandwidth/highest fsb one i can get.
also when you guys flash, when do you clear cmos? before you load up the bios' or after you load or both?
also, who here is experiencing a lower fsb after going from 'A' to 'B', and back to 'A' again?
I did clear the cmos...I don't know what is going on...I get errors in memtest at 215 even with 2.9vdimm :s ... What the hell... I have 2x256 corsair 3500 v1.1. Is my memory dead or the mobo is dying...it is 1 week old, black caps 0318 I think...
Sorry for getting off topic...
EDIT: Tried each stick both did 225 then I tried both and I managed to pass memtest without erros...Before I had errors at 215 same settings ... what the hell :stick: anyway...
after flash with abit menu they will ask need to reboot...
don't reboot....
shutdown.....
clear cmos....
then only switch it back on....
if no bandwith gain... u r not lucky today... try ur luck next year....:D
pcfreak.... u just need to say:
..... this bios suxxxx.... :toast:
Like tictac sez - shutdown, clear CMOS, then boot and set BIOS options.Quote:

I also like the extra step of shutdown->clear CMOS->boot->set Optimal Defaults->Save->boot->set BIOS options.
You just want to be sure that any left-over CMOS registers are cleared on a new BIOS, you never know what's left over from the previous BIOS without a CMOS clear.
For me there's no difference between 22BetaKing and original 1.8.
239 MHz rock stable. No difference in 3D Mark and memory bandwidth.
First did it this way using flashmenu then again using floppy...I don't think it was the bios...but Idon't know what the problem is-was also...tictac keep up the good work :toast:Quote:

clearing cmos by tapping the insert key at boot up is what I find to be much easier in a crowded case like mine. Works all the time.........However after bios flash with flashmenu I normally shut down (switch off PSU switch), count to 11, pray, tap insert key and load setup defaults, reboot and go on............
okay, do any of these bioses help break some oc barriers? I'm still hung at about 200, nothing over that is 24/7 stable. I can post up to 238, bench at 214 and 221 once each, but something isn't right.
I can't use the 10 bios, that doesn't cooperate, any other good ones?:toast:
use 22betaking speedy
is it me, or are all the D10 bios' on TicTac's website giving the same bandwidth numbers??
someone should edit the d22 beta king with the agp latency increase thats just been released for the DFI infinity
bout dat D10 i'm not sure there will be bandwith increese... i only receive report dat D10 beta 4 hav better bandwith than Beta1:(Quote:

yup there is still room in this D22 bios...
1) fix multi 10 n 10.5 - so far nothing works
2) fix multi <10 to hav bigger bandwith - ok... fix it a bit already
now there is AGP latency.... hehehe
hav to cheack back later
3) AGP Latency - will check it soon... hope can find out the string:toast:
sitll though...
im loosing the god damn usb/ps2 when i set the vcore above 2.06... PISSIN THE HELL OUTA ME
think im gonna move to DFI
I noticed that new beta bios for DFI infinity & LP has arrived. The change log says that:
This is probably possible with NF7-S too. Is there a bios modder who knows how to change deafult AGP latency from 32 to 96 or even 248... Or maybe to integrate option "AGP latency" in bios menu? So it could be changed?Quote:
4 . Increase AGP controller latency as 0FFh to improve 3DMark2001SE stability
can u guide me we do abit put this AGP latency thing in bios file? so far i can't find it.... :(Quote:

tictac I can't help you much. If I knew where is that setting I would allready done that.
But there was this post in other thread writen by Hasw, and it says that it can be done with some register settings...
That's all he wrote about it. I hope you'll find it.Quote:
Well, it's bus 0 device 30 function 0, the PCI-AGP bridge. Register 0x0d (PCI latency timer). This is the latency for the PCI side (to internal PCI bus) of the AGP bridge.
hehehe.... actually.....em i dont understand wat dats command mean... maybe i havent go to dat part lastime....Quote:

coz i never try mod this bios with WPCREDIT /WPCRSET tools... will try soon :toast:
emmm... id D22 cant play with multi 10 n 10.5..... do u think it will work if change dat multi to different multi.... do u think it will work.... like 10.1 / 10.2 / 10.3 ....etc
hehehe.... will mod it now:toast:
I believe that Oskar Wu has ties to DFI, I think he's an employee.Quote:

If I understand it correctly, Oskar has access to the BIOS source, so don't feel badly. Patching together a BIOS without source is different than building one from source! :toast:
TicTac, i've been trying out bandwidth tests, at 133x13, 5-2-2-2... and they've all been 1 or 2 MB/s from 2016/1895 in Sandra.
oh...ya bout dat multiplier thing both doesnt work..... my beta tester said.....
multi must be in integrer of 0.5....
yup both post fine but dat multi 10.1 n 9.9 shown as [ ]
.. .. .. .. :(
