Gaul, look again. The 580 was running 16xQ AA vs 4xAA for the 5850 CF. That is a BIG difference!

Holy heaven, I'll bet you'll do better if and when you water cool those beasts!
I bet you hit 1000MHz easy under water provided you have the cooling capacity for two 580s and one 980x, two quad radiators perhaps! :D

@pr@$r1g - thanx :) ill stick to sli more efficient and itll do until better gpus cometh
@Systemlord - thanx watercooled somewhere between 1050-1100 perhaps :)
till i get better cpu cooler and properly optimize the platform
heres sli 1.025v stock cooling and default 980x

actually, well over 2300.
max mem bench so far was at 2370.
but I been trying to get 1k stable - just cause I am close to it.
I think with water 1000/2000/2400 would be easy on this card with little to no modding needed.
running 2300 is really just to keep it fast - but stable.
focusing instead for now on the core/shaders, trying to find the sweet spot.
Kunaak what vid you got?
heres a better vantage - getting a better sense of consistency now

nice results m8! I just got my asus 580 will start testing soon! And compare to a 480GTX on same setup! I like you new gear m8! Look like there going to be some records broken!
gtx-580 is awesome! 980x is dieing/bad mount.
Game tests at 5.4 as well ftl. card was at 1.325v full pot. CBB is -50c  1230 passed easy but I had to stop didnt want to kill my 980x from bad mount.
I was more impressed that 1050/1100 passes at 0c 1.15v  They certainly like being cold thats for sure
God i am amazed with the 580 how much fastest it is to a 480!

I've got two EVGA superclocked 580s on the way. So pumped and can't wait to start overclocking these monsters.
Napalm, can you run the avp benchmark but at 1920x1200 with 8xAA SLI? And for Hawks, 500+ FPS!!! You have plenty of room to spare! Turn EVERYTHING UP including terrain tessellation to use that power in SLI!
Hmmm... what kinds of fan speed are you all using for those stock-cooler 950-975mhz oc's? My card doesn't want to play nice with that range until I go to 1.175v or so, and even then it won't stay stable in a game for long... granted that's with only 70% fan. It is rock-solid @ 860-870core/2200mem(4400ddr5) with 1.063-1.075v though and auto fan speed. Am I missing something or is my card just not good enough?
Still, quite happy with this vs. my 470 SLI, this card at listed speeds is hitting X14650ish in Vantage and very quiet + cool... my single 470 @ 720core could only pull X8451, and in SLI I couldn't OC them comfortably due to heat/noise so they only ran stock (607core). So, pretty impressed...
thanx i was wondering why i didnt have the 32xaa and tess options i was lunching from the default exe
sorry dont have 1200p.. avp @ 8xaa no worky

Splave - nice congrats!
tip: your rigs stability/sweet spot has a lot to do with how high and how stable your 580 clocks are ;)
found my rigs sweet spot again on the new cooler - thermalright silver arrow

Hey guys, me again. I got the possibility to buy a MSI GTX 580 for a really nice price, is MSI a nice vendor?
BTW, I believe that I jizz on my pants with the picture of the SLI on the UD9... yeah, I did it... AMAZING dude!!!!!!!
I just rma'd my 580. I miss it already :(
Hopefully I get a new one by friday. I don't live too far from newegg so I should get on quick.
Keep posting card results!
Yes he had, but Splave alongwith another OCA member rom are reporting after initial testing that the same chips are not able to do much beyond 5.4Ghz in Vantage GPU test.
@Pekalion, yes MSI is one of the better brands in the world but final purchase decision should be based on local service and warranty option in your country.
