Thanks, longshot here but is there any software to control the profile? I'd like it to run at 50% until a specific threshold then ramp up to 100 rather quickly. Probably not at the moment.

That depends on either
1. Fan control setting in MB what your hooking it too.
2. Fan control software that works with the PWM header on your motherboard aka Speed fan.
Calling me out... :p:
Email on the way.
hmmm if my 655 is dying
should i buy new 35x instead of 655?
I have 2 un-opened 655's and i bought 2 of these to bad delivery guy tryed late on friday. .. i had allready left town or i would of did an unboxing.

Well got them today .. here's the good and the bad and the pics
The good.
Build quality - The pump's Top Notch solid the top smooth and Finished. The pumps a red impeller IF that means anything ;-)
The res is solid I though it was glass when I first unwrapped not Plexiglas or acrylic. The top is a Solid plug of metal Felt and looks like a Spare CPU block .. actually heavier.
The bad.
Res is innovative but Just a little off .
The top is as heavier then pump/res combined I'm afraid to mount the thing. Scared the mount will snap. I can see if it was floor mount it would act as a weight dampener and help prevent vibrations but lets say pump slightly loose at some point this thing will haul it right over if its off balance.
I thought about drilling a fill port in top not going to happen as I would probably need 1000w Drill press.
The Cutaway area for the ports not large enough to use compression fitting ( 3/8-5/8 BP and koolance) or any fitting with a larger lip.
The res mounting mechanism requires you to use a LONG flat screwdriver to reach it and turn but due to the width of the mount port a normal screwdriver can only be on one side I foresee problems there.
The pin for positioning the res in the right spot is nice though.
Here's some pics don't mind the semi bad camera phone and bad lighting.

Let me know if you want pics of anything in particular also have digital calipers on hand is need a measurement although spec are up on swiftech site..
oh nice..i like red :D
I can't say enough just how refreshing it is to see products released with real scientific based testing and and comparative performance data.:clap:
Bravo...the way it SHOULD be done with all products...
Congrats to you and Stephen..and cheers to science and engineering..
both of the above will be corrected in the next production batch:
- top will have an additional G1/4 fitting, and be made out of Delrin (see * note)
- spacing between ports will allow large compression fittings (note how I worded the subject on the web page: "Compression fittings up to 1/2" (tube OD) are currently supported."
*Note: this will reduce weight, and the reduction in material cost should almost offset the extra cost for machining the port + the plug
If you look at the pics its the lip of the cutaway area not only the spaceing.
There needs to be more space around the fitting holes.

Sorry, just trying to clarify. You never mentioned the cutaway space.
Any eta on next production run ?
That way i can replace them in finalized case.

Now another question , Would the pump work of if mounted vertically with outlet barb up ? I know its not recommended on the edge kits I'm assuming due to Air bleeding. but just the pump itself ?
Oh hey guys, just got mine today. Small little bugger, it'll do great for the tight fit I'll need to make with it being a second pump in an 800D.
Cant order the res until tomorrow, but the build wont be finalized until next week anyways. Really wish I could cool the board, but I'm an idiot and thought EK's board blocks would be fine over revisions. Boy am I wrong.
Lol you know this is just adding more and more options/confusion to me about my Loop choices LOL
Any updated release on the new res? Only thing holding me back.
I've got nothing on release dates, but I've finally cracked the riddle of PWM on the UD7 and how the crap I can test the MCP35X. Yeah, I know, not the info you all wanted but progress none the less. :)
Gabe, any update on the new Restop?
I'm at the factory right now. It's not good news. Production run wasn't made to rev2 specs and I rejected all. It means 2 more weeks to rerun the parts, then ship to US = 3 weeks delay from today :( One of these things that should never happen, but unfortunately does from times to times.
Sorry for the delay.
It would be interesting to see factory pics sometimes with all the equipment that makes stuff for our hobby :)
