It's frustrating to have this good memory and not be able to clock it high due to a weak CPU
I need to get rid of the ones I have.
So, is 1740 6-6-6-18 @ 1.70v a CPU fault or memory fault?
And...can you lower the volts any and keep that clock? ...
can be a bit of both and add in motherboard/platform factors heh
this ain't prime just single 32M pi 6x2GB = 12GB 6-6-6-20 1T - remember only 2 out of 6 modules memtested at 900mhz 6-6-6-20 1T 1.7v while 4 of them maxed 894mhz 6-6-6-20 1T 1.7v.
- 879Mhz 6-6-6-20 1T at 1.7v with CPU VTT 1.4125v

not easy clocking 12gb of ram ... great work eva2000
gees lol thats awesome eva! to get low timings like tha on 12gb? LOL niceeeeeeee
Your results are astonishing, ways better than mine:(.
The 3 kits I got last month topped with 150x12 booting into windows -- single channel.
I tested them single stick each time for the max frequency booting into windows.
At 1.7v, they are in the range of 148-150x12 6-6-6, 171-175x12 7-7-7.
OS: Windows 7 x64
CPU: i7 920 1.3625v core, 1.425v vtt, 1.7v dram
x12 ram, x24 uncore, x20 core
(CPU can boot into windows at 187x12 8-9-8 BBSE/187x12 8-8-8 Hyper)
MB: R3E BIOS 0602
PCI device: 1x GTX480@PCIE x8, 1x XFi EP@PCI
thanks :)
yeah i also noticed transferring data between partitions from sata to ssd is much faster with 12GB than 6GB :D
bit confused you said 148-150bclk x12 mem multi 6-6-6- that's 888-900mhz same as mind not worse just the same
yeah
Funny only just noticed in everest spd display, that the XMP Extreme DDR3-2200 profile for 8-8-8-24 also has a setting for 6-6-6-20 and look what mem frequency it is = 879mhz 6-6-6-20 which coincidentally is the frequency I hit for 6x2 = 12GB @879Mhz 6-6-6-20 1T of course at higher volts 1.7v instead of 1.65v which 2x2GB 2200C8 kit XMP Extreme profile would be rated.
Good job with 12GB
I've just found a used Dominator GT 2000Mhz CL8 6GB kit for under half of price, and was considering to buy it. But after seeing your results with these 2200 CL8 kit, I see why the seller is dumping it so cheap.
What's the price for this kit? EDIT: never mind I found the price on the first page.
Yeah would explain the price drop :)
Ewiz IS Super Talent...we are buying manufacturer direct. Sort of,....Super Talent, Ewiz, and MA*LABS are all the same company.
I'll do more testing once my new board arrives. :)
True super talent can afford to keep prices lower because of this :)
Here is some more ram prOn. In the process of building a tech bench and had to pop this stuff in to take a quick pic. Yes, those are GTX2 sticks :)

Hey dude, good luck and tell me how testing goes :)...
If you want to see how much the Super Talent stick might be slowing you down you'd have to take two sticks out and run two sticks of GTX2 then repeat with a stick of each. Hope it works well. :)
Is that a Crosshair 3 I see?
Got some more toys in today to go along with my 3x2GB Super Talent DDR3-2000 C7 kit :D
As you can see below, two of the sticks have black PCBs but one has a green PCB

These actually say "Speed" unlike the C7 sticks.

Interestingly the two with the black PCB have the same "MM#" (whatever that is) while the green one is different.

Despite the different colors all sticks use 8-layer Brain Power PCB.

Amazon.com has avaliable 2200 C8. $123 per stick. LINK
They have one stick and it's overpriced :P
green pcb is old stock....
