Special thanks to all who recently joined the team

My manager already let me borrow some cruching power from one of our Opteron VM boxes. That will be a part time solution just till the end on the super computer challange. My owner might actually have a much nicer solution in mind. I just ask if I could in some way earn my way to building a miner crunching server. He was excited about the idea and wants to do more. I have a friend and collegue that is currently going though treatment for cancer. I think this is a great way to help support the cure. Thanks Movieman for bring this up. I may have never signed up, I never look in this section of the forum.

Got my laptop and a Nehalem rig 100% on now to assist with your supercomputer target.
Started up early to give time to OC the Nehalem and maybe setup a second one before May 1st.

LN2 is great for ... freezing stuff ... and things

all the Ln2 guys should run their overclocks on the grid for that week when they can!! could you immagine sr-2 overclocks for like 8 hours lol!! OOMMG

and also may have sossi up by the time!

Can you imagine the bill for a week 24/7 worth of LN2? :rofl:

maybe not ln2 but those on cascade and single stage maybe could say yes only for one week to run their rig with their ss on 24/7.

Or better yet, just get them to slap on WC or Air and run their numerous high end rigs 24/7.
Guys like me will typically have at least 3 Nehalem rigs sitting unused at any one time, plus dual core and now i guess Clarkdale rigs too

I just hope i'm ready for the 1st of May. Old systems mostly (P4,Am2+ etc.) but not ready at the moment. Hope i manage to set them by the end of the week.

Also hope that my 940BE which is LinX stable @ 3.8 remains stable in WCG client....could also be my final stress test for that freq...

I had been toying with the idea of joining for awhile now but this challenge finally got me in gear and I signed up over the weekend.
mentioned it at work this morning and was blown away by the response I got.
Boss is letting me put it on the shop rig (+1 quad)
coworkers all signing up(+1 quad,+4 duals)
one of our suppliers says he'll sign up
and the ups guy commited too
even the 1 coworker that has been waffling for 2 yrs about having me build him a rig is stopping at the bank at lunch (now) just so he can join up!

It looks like I'll be busy for the next couple days getting these all set up:up:
My only worry is that even tho I told them they would need to leave thier rigs on all the time I know they wont remember to shut it down before they power off will this cause any prob's?

Is there a current setup guide that will tell me why I am only getting a singlw WU on a quad after telling the client to use 100% of cores? My searching has failed me.

EDIT: NM, started working awhile after I setup a profile on the website.
