Okay, apparently my current board decided it still wants to work
So it looks like I have time to wait for these boards to come out (and so that I have money to pay for it as well as a 1090T)
Thanks Randi.......I just placed an order for one.
Here in Australia.......there is no mention of an "Asus Crosshair IV Formula", anywhere.
Hence I'm glad to find a retailer that actually ships to the far side of this planet. Again, I would like to say thanks for offering the link.
Just wondering, is it possible to direct deposit to stores like that?
I don't have paypal or a credit card.
Turbo V is fun:D

is that on dice? nice
4.8ghz at 1.65V is pretty impressive
what do you think the average jo would get if they used that voltage? (let's assume water or high-end air)
Here is the latest 0707 Bios:
Enjoy: http://sf3d.pp.fi/CrosshairIV-Formula-ASUS-0707.zip
Petri I just pulled my post (linking same bios), I get far lower ram clocks with 0707 then with 0505 on my 965BE about 1920 vs 1870ish... Will test on Thuban asap...
EDIT : flashed 0505 back and got easily into windows plus 1900mhz... something might be wrong...
SF3D show us real scores now! :D Like 10kilo 06 CPU score.
Soon..
But my 3 year old daughter can do 10K CPU score in 06. That is for kids :)
he means CPU score, not overall score.....
SF3D, is 0707 newer than 0702 and 0706, or are those separate "forks"?
You obviously did not get my (poor) joke :D
Yes. 0707 is 2 hours newer than 0702.

Here is 0702
0505? I know 0503..and I saw 2000Mhz memory speed stable..
I couldn't test 0503 or 0505 yet, only 0602 and 0707. My max valid is 1980Mhz 7-9-7-24 1T 1,66v
Where do you get all those bios from on all the asus sites there is only 2 the first one the board is shipped with and 0602!
The board have great 2d performence this was done in 5min on ln2..
I can do Pi1mb easily at and over 2000mhz, but Pi32mb still ends at 1966Mhz :( I really hope it's my CPU as I had the same behaviour on 2 CH IV's... or I suck ( yes Chew* I know that I do :p)
Only test 5 in Memtest keeps erroring out on me... I need to pump 1.76Vdimm to get the rams stable over 1960... slacker timings doesn't help either... (-->retested the rams on X58, there they do 2100mhz C8 at 1.65Vdim lol)

Massman got one of the boards now, hope he finds some settings I put wrong ( or loads of them :p)... to be continued...

OK, I had a warm up session for our livestream event this upcoming evening:
http://www.amdblackops.com/
My 1010BPMW seems to be nice CPU. Only problem was terrible IMC "cold bug" when pot was full of LN2. It is giving memory errors, if I tried to open 3DM06 for example.
Then again, basic CPU tests were ok, like Wprime and Vantage and superpi 1M.
I hope this is still a bios issue and hopefully it will be fixed asap.
My new CPU pot (SF3D OC Inflection point) works perfectly with Phenom II X6 as well. During those long CPU tests I saw the temperature to raise up to -180.3C° and wors temp was -179.6C° during 1024M.
On idle, the temperature was -184.2C° almost all the time. Not too bad

More results will follow after tonights show with Macci and Sampsa
Have fun SF3D today, will be watching closely to lear some tools of the trade...
I just bought this board and will be receiving it mid week. I'm hearing some issues with the a north bridge overheating issue? Has anyone come across this? and is there an easy fix?
if you are unsure, unscrew the heatsink, acrefully pop it off, remove the ASUS thermal stuff and replace it with eg Arctic Ceramique. Just make sure all the mounts are properly screwed in. I have 2 retail samples, none is affected (temps stayed around 45-50°C). Some got bad luck...and it didn't make contact at all... so better check...
Could anyone post a pic of what i need to specifically look at? Dont know exactly what the (north bridge) is.
