Just had to try it, and no, it is single CPU ;)

strange, ~1000 extra on 4.2 vs the 4.4
Sam can you run the benchmark at 2.67ghz...?
:D i'll have a look when I am able to free my Westmere for some testing, will probably only be next week.
can you pls run it stock and @2.93 with default mem so we can have a nice compare and then we can compare with anandtech results and calculate scaling performance.
Everything on default, used "load optimized default" in UD/-BIOS:

And @3.8Ghz, for comparing the scaling on equally tweaked CPU & RAM as the first one.

i'd tried it without HT to see the virtual scaling.
well, MM maybe?
this guy ^^ seems to be just a freaking looser.

A hint for you
it isn't the first time he's doing that...
hey everyone .. was just wondering if there is any info about the new 32nm Xeon 56xx series and if the RIIE supports them ?
Thanks guys..
Cheers
well, you got this for the 980
the Xeons should work the same.
X5650 @ProVantage for 1019$
X5680 1730$
W3680 1080$
etc ;).
cheers !
That helped a lot :)
I might get the 5650 :)
thank you !
kind regards
P.S. - Also might get a 5630 as well .
2.53ghz with a multi of 19 but also has a Turbo of 2.8ghz which means it has a 21 multi as well.
Seems to be a decent option for some relatively cheap fun. :)
these chips clock really well.
x5677...
im running 4.8ghz on air. http://img.techpowerup.org/100328/Capture016.jpg
4.7ghz is 3d stable on air. http://img.techpowerup.org/100328/Capture014.jpg
cooler is noctua NH-D14 with stock fans. nothing special.
mobo is GB X58A-UD3R
@fitseries3 any problem with the GB board recognizing the X5677 chip? What bios are you running?
@Movieman/tool_462 thanks for the note. I'll have to check out Gigabyte as so far I haven't found this proc mentioned by anyone working in the Asus P6T7. :(
board was bought from microcenter and i dropped the x5677 in and ran for a few hours before i updated to f5 bios. no problems at all even with the f3 bios that came on it.
So what are they announcing new tomorrow? And where can I buy a 5620? I can't find them...
check out this page again,Quote:
