This is my first test build of "a few more" cost effective 920 crunchers. I plan on getting a case for it and push pull more quiet fans. The Asrock x58 board is running fine, and the 920 OC'd to 4.0GHz easily.

for example, you can have the black as one leg of the hot, 120v

the only thing you need to make sure is that you hook the white to the other leg that the black wire is, on the 240v main.
the wires in the house are rated at 600v, so there is no problem there. you just need to make sure NOTHING else gets hooked up to the outlet:D or you will really have some nice sparks

Whats not to like, fairly good pricing and great airflow. I use the 900 on almost all builds I do for friends and family.
My first case was a antec 200 so i understand what you mean.

You're right, it is a Thomas 2639CE38-190R that I pulled from a scraped O2 concentrator, its still on its shock mounts.

Nice setup there snoro. I really like the last picture. It shows your creativity when it comes to insuring adequate air-flow though the system. What is your output on those systems for WCG?
about 25-30k ppd for the i7, and for the other two well you made me realize that in the last days they had problem producing the ppd they normally do which about 20-25k for the i5 and 15k-20k for i3

That's 2 X6 1055s running Linux on bootable USB drives with 1 650 watt PSU.
Ok, how do you put 2 power supplies together? I'm going to be putting together a bunch of computers for crunching in the fall, and if I could put 2 computers into each power supply that would cut costs alot!
You get Y splitter cables for the 24 pin and 4 pin ATX plug. Both the mobos in the photo are Gigabyte and have 8 pin ATX plugs. The PSU I'm using has both 8 pin and 4 pin ATX plugs so I just ran one to each board. Since I'm not using regular HDDs you could even get a 4 pin molex to 4 pin ATX adapter and use that to power the ATX plug on the mobo. I've done that and it works very well. If you're going to do this don't skimp on the PSU. I would recommend at least a 650 watt with an 80 bronze rating. You'll need separate power and reset switches for each mobo cuz when you fire one up it will start all the fans but will boot only the one you started. I use a KVM switch to control multiple crunchers with 1 mouse, keyboard and monitor. You can get Y splitter cables here. I have dealt with them several times and have been very satisfied with their service. They have just about every splitter/adapter you could ever need.
