what if the cost is 200 dollars then for the EK block...still screw BP block :p:

Yeah, I'm curious about pre-orders as well. I wish I could wait until I'm down in the Balkans this summer and then I can pick it up for cheaper but hey, whatever...so, any pre-orders? :D
I don't really understand why BP charged so high. I think when they started, they were going to make an acetal block and the black nickle plated light-show brass top vesion was suppose to be just for that....one guy that will spend whatever $$. Somehow they released that version for everybody (and no other version) and thought we would all pay the same price as that...one guy.
Anyway, for some of us, being able to only need 2 compression fittings instead of 4 is a good $30 savings right there. Also, EK is going with acetal/acrylic top, not brass so hopefully that will help kep prices low and no dout he well release the base of the block with and wihout nickle platting as he has done in the past.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Probably won't release te price till he is ready to go into production.
Please make the cooler nickle plated. the copper-look would ruin the classified-style.
please make a space for the plate that is mounted on top of the original sb-cooler.
if the engraved font is inside this 0.5-1.0mm deep space, the buyers can decide
to mount the original sb-classified-plate on top of the engraved one and glue it on there... :-)
that would look outstanding.
just one thing would look even better:
engrave the logo with the same font/style as the original logo (sb/packaging etc.).
Please.... this is the only missing part in my "CLASSIFIED" HighEndPC
Classified can not be a trade mark.
eVGA can tho, so i dont think eddy will have problems with classified, however he would have problems with eVGA.
im worried its gonna be 50 more then that. :\
i did rough estimates on parts, and its not gonna be a cheap block at all. The derlin and copper both need to be big sheets, and factor in machining time...
Oh man eddy, i hope you go easy on our wallets.
LOL nice to see bridges are being used more. Definitely great concept block tho eddy.
:P
Very nice! I hope that a nickel version of that beautiful block come out!
Glad to help you Eddy, keep the price low and we have a winner :D
I prefer black acetal plus red top, match the classified theme.
That red acrylic is a must! If I can afford this I'd love to purchase one this sexy beast of a block (it also depends on how hot my board runs).
Even if this block were to be $200, which I doubt, it would still be a better deal than the overpriced BP block as you would also be cooling the VREG which would cost you an extra $50 for the VREG block from BP putting it at $225.
production of this mobo was ended ... new model become "760" and new design of block is needed ... but if this will be on market, i will buy it for my OLD "759" model ...
Sadly, From what I've been able to determine, there is no true red UV acrylic. It all winds up being a orange-red or pink-red. I looked for many many moons for a project I am working on and finely had to settle for non UV acrylic as red-red was an absolute must for the build.:(
Hi, lets stop this discussion about EVGA logo. :)
We will not use it, as it would mean too much trouble aplying a permission for it.
Sadly there is no RED FLUO acrylic, only orange, yellow and green if I am correct. So we will use "only" red coloured transparent acrylic material.
No estimated price?
Can you imagine how slippery that is? Even if he says a hunderd times that it's just an estimate and it could change, people will latch on to a named price. And there'll probably be undue drama, especially if the estimate was too low.
I wouldn't name a price till it was final, in Eddy's position.
Just my 2c. :p:
OK, price should be in EUR from 100-110 EUR, in USD about 135 to 150.
Have to check the manufacturing time yet.
I hope this is not against forum regulations.
