Well heres my 0851 FPMW ,,
Bios 0030 Asus M3A79-T. The Bios unlocks the fourth but is very buggy,, Ive tested with my old 9950 and it was very buggy with that as well.
I was able to sqeeze 3.68mhz on all four.
This one likes high Volts what can i say :D 1.62volts ...I did not prime above 1.55v@3.6ghz. stable and runs all my apps. Priming @ 1.61v X3cores is stable @ 3800+. So enabling the Extra Core loses 120+mhz overall and needs to use 2000nb. vs 3800cpu/2600nb. If i try for 3700mhz on all Four Cores it will go Inconvergant .. Which means weak IMC or Not enuff volts. I do not want to push this chip too fart since its made too run on three cores to begin with .
Thers a reason why the 4th core is disabled:yepp: , So all of us that get a good unlocked and clocked 4core stable , consider it a lotto:yepp:
Very fun chip to play with.

here's my chip with all 4 cores @ 3.6

Is it me or 720's that were run with DDR3/Mobo did the best at unlocking and clocking.
It seems that the IMC AM3 makes a huge differance from the AM2 IMC. Remeber this CPU has two Controllers. I wonder if the AM3 IMC makes it easier to clock , Thus having a AM3 Mobo betters the Odds of unlocking and stability.
Just a thought.
Ive noticed it looks like AM2 mobo's are a little buggy at unlocking using the AM2 IMC. I know mine is.
X3 720 BE EPFW all four cores working fine. I have run upto 3.6 Ghz, but its a bit unstable. I am able to benchmark it though and have had runs on vantage and 3dm 06. Now my 24/7 clock is 3.2 Ghz @1.325 V. I am running it on a biostar TA790GXB A2+ and OCZ Reapers CL4.

The highest I have got on all 4 cores is 3.7 Ghz, but thats not stable other than to boot in and take a screenshot. Please please someone help me reach 4 Ghz...even wth 3 cores...
Let me know if you need any more info.

but, max OC is very limited. I reached 3800 mhz aircooled stable whith 3 cores, but 4 cores cannot boot windows. Max tested and unstable is 3,5 ghz.
Here is my max stable results with some benchmarks..

X3 720 BE - 0904EPUW unlocks with the modded BIOS on the ASUS mobo, but needs a 0.025V boost to run stable at stock speeds.
Not 720 BE but 710 X3 @ X4 on my DFI M2RS with older bios.

Failed with BSOD when starting 32m but it is now running 2 tasks orthos and 32m since 5mins, so keeping my fingers crossed I got a quad for my money :D
Sucks that Core Temp won't work anymore when you activate the 4th core :(
06 passed @ 3gig - it seems to need a little juice to be stable but nonetheless 4 cores :hehe: AMD rocks - buy 3 get one free :toast:

Dunno if anyone still cares, but I have the 0904DPCW x3 720...first few attempts were a no go, but with other people in this thread having success, I'm going to try a few different things as soon as I get my new PSU tomorrow.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open to them. Specs in the sig.
Well, pulled off 4ghz with it. Not stable, didn't have much time to test that.

So another check for 0904DPCW.
ALL i know is the MOBO is the biggest factor with 720/550...My M3a79-T was buggy and way unstable and unlockable after a while with both chips.
Once they were put on A Gigabyte UD4P,,Both are 100%stable,, i know only DDR2 both unlocked and clocked over 3.6ghz with out any problems what so ever.
Again the Bios and or Mobo ha very much to with how the outcome is...
Above Nice 4ghz on the 720:up:
Do you know of anyone that has damaged any hardware caused by unlocking the fourth core? Someone on another forum said he damaged ram twice and then lost the CPU after unlocking the fourth core of a 720 installed in a Biostar TA790GX with bios version AMI 080014. He states that each time the hardware damage occurred it was while watching a Blu-ray movie on the PC with the unlocked 720. He says the MB still works fine using another CPU though.

Mine did 4GHz+ @ 3 cores (see sig) and it was OCCT stable at 3.8GHz@4cores@1.48V. Highest validation @4cores was around 3950MHz, but I can't find any confirmation.
Changing memory from OCZ Gold 1333CL9 () to Reapers 1866CL8 made a difference ;)
