The best thing about the Green series is how quiet they are in external enclosures. Also since any drive will saturate a USB 2.0 bus, if you go that route it doesn't matter how slow it is you're still maxed out. I use e-SATA on my home machine so I get the full bandwidth like an internal drive but to back up my other systems (including a laptop) USB is required so wasting money on a faster drive just doesn't make sense.
Hmm they aren't quietest? Do you know how it compares to say.. VRaptors or Seagate 7200.11s? (or the older 1TB WD10EADS Green)Quote:
