Very thx guy, now before go to do this , wish me good luck :D and if for any reasons this fail, I can flahs back to the old bios dans do RMA after ?
Flash 1 card to start with.
Sure you can, blind flash or take pci card and you see what are you doing ;) that RMA i dont say anything
Good luck!
ok, but I not would void my warrantly, I not do extreme overclock and not plain to push card over is limit but just try this bios and use the soft by Asus.If I have some probleme or card come defect, I will be sure if I flahs back to the original bios, I will not have probleme with a RMA.
Thx :D
:horse:
The extra clocks on my ram from using this bios did give me a score increased in vantage right in line with 4870 CF clocked at the same speed so I wouldnt say that the ram timings have been loosened. Maybe your card is just getting bottlenecked so you dont see any gain from it. Having said that, extra memory bandwidth is hardly needed anyway so does not really increase fps in games by much at all.
Its the only way I can explain being able to run the RAM at 1100MHz with no voltage increase when it used to artifact at 960~980 or so at idle.
There was a difference from 900 ~ 950 on the stock BIOS & I have seen what I think is a small increase on the TOP BIOS going from 950 ~ 1059 but to be honest its within the margin of error so I cant really claim it.
CN :)
Use:
ATIFlash -i
(Shows the index of all current BIOS's on your cards, with a reference number such as 0,1,2,3 for CF 4870x2's)
Check to make sure that it mentions Master next to the 0 card, and slave next to the 1 card.
ATIFlash -f -p 0 TeamAU-0.rom (flash master of first card)
ATIFlash -f -p 1 TeamAU-1.rom (flash slave of first card)
ATIFlash -f -p 2 TeamAU-0.rom (flash master of second card)
ATIFlash -f -p 3 TeamAU-1.rom (flash slave of second card)
Regarding RAM timings, i too saw an increase in max RAM speed by flahsing to TOP.
Thx T_M, I have send to you 2 PM, you have put all the good setting but not sure you have use the Asus Top bios.
What software do you guys use to massure the volt? I use Rivaturner and gpu-z and no matterīs what settigs i do in Rbe, Rivaturner/gpu-z still says 1,26V. Can someone tell me what i doing wrong
I've vmodded my Asus-BIOS. Looking if my 1,35V are shown in GPU-Z? Just installing drivers!
 thanks for the guide and roms TM
flashed no problems :D running 822/1000 stable
measure vcore with a digital multimeter.
Watch the volts while you run 3D also ;)
No i have not yet run 900 core.
Im saying if you want to try, just uninstall CCC and then there will be no clock limit.
I will be trying very soon to run above 900 core ;)
ok, now i understand the earlier post
your thinking ccc just being there is stopping progression towards 900
and thats how no name got there.
I've flashed back my original!
The Asus is terrible. The fan is so loud for the first two minutes...damn!
Furthermore, I was not able to get higher clocks with it at my stock-cooler, why? Just the Gpu was able to clock a little higher. But my ram still freezes at 960???
Any answer to my problem?
Uninstalling CCC definately does avert the clock limit, its already confirmed
I just found something interesting :D
Uninstall CCC, flash your BIOS's above the limit, then reinstall CCC.
My system is now happily running with CCC installed, just the overdrive function is disabled :)
I get overclocking in CCC no matter what I flash the bios's to. Strange.
been testing the cooling capacity of stock sink while oc and have to say under water this card could do alot more
