is that 32m on tuned single stage? which motherboard you using?
This is my 24/7 setting for now. DO u think ~1.40vcore is to high for 24/7 ? Running on water.

I am using 1.5 so dont ask me ;)
1.45 is the common sense for the most.
This is xtreme forum so i guess anything goes :D
My new CPU seems to be nice although i haven't played much with it yet.
Stable at 4GHz with just 1.12v, GTL voltages are at auto so i might be able to run it at even lower voltage if i mess with GTL settings.
OMG this looks better day to day :D
Maybe Intel made some very nice adjustments for their "last?" dualcore before nehalem? making us enthusiasts happy :)
and some 3D action...

giorgos th. I think 3D Marks Vantage would punch holes in that clock.
I dont even have Vista...hehehehe
Nice giorgos and thanks .
my specs ... trying to get my ram to run stable , any opinions , suggestions are welcomed ... ;)
got it today, pretty sexy chip with good temps cooled by true 120 and a couple medium yates, will let this run till i get home from work in 12.5 hours and i will repost a SS of that hopefully.
Not a Cpuz suicide shot i'm afraid. 5ghz stable, moving on to 5.1ghz now :D

Just got my E8600 in. Man this puppy gets HOT compared to my E8400 at the same clocks. I'm at 4.4GHz now and tryin' for 4.5GHz on air. So far 4.4 is taking less volts than my E8400 did at 4.0. That right there was worth the upgrade to me.
I have the feeling trying to get to 4.5 is gonna take a LOT more volts than 4.4... we'll soon find out.
OK, 4.5 ain't gonna happen for me without moving my fans up from silent on my TRUE. 4.4 is solid at 1.328V CPUZ with silent fans. Good enough.
The jump to 4.5 was taking more than 1.425V!! No way I'd run that 24/7.
lol kitfit1, exactly what I thought, phasechange cooling, otherwise 1.4v for 5ghz stable would've been awfully good :D
Brahmzy update your sig lol... it still says e8400 :p:
Keep those results coming people, I love this
I found the E8400s got really hot once you broke 4.2Ghz. Load went from low 60s to 70s at 4.3Ghz, I topped out due to the heat alone and that was water cooled.
exellent kitfit1 !
So I know about placebo and all, I've done what feels like hundreds of builds and upgrades and I'm telling you things just feel snappier. I don't know why, but now, with my E8600 I'm only getting 2.5 bars of the Vista x64 boot splash vs. 3.5 bars before. How is that possible - going from 4.0GHz to 4.4GHz.... Maybe it was the BIOS upgrade? Weird. But I've rebooted over 10 times now with the E8600 and I'm down to 2.5 bars consistently and things just feel hella fast. I LOVE this chip! :)
that chip looks like it's working out well for you..temps looks great:up:..ic you got setup on Asus board what was voltage increase on the O'c ? from default..i'm gonna run with a E8600 at the end of the when the price go's down or catch a deal first with Asus setup and water cooled..i just looking around seeing everybody's out come there test and benchmarks first..:yepp:
I'm going through the same thing here. I can run 9.5x 1880fsb for 4463mhz with 1.35v bios 1.39v windows. If i try 1900fsb for 4512mhz i can only get an hour and a half prime with voltages up to 1.5v. I wanted 4500 air 24/7 but i'll settle for 4463. Screen shot shows 1.41v windows but ive been stable for 3 hours now at 1.39v per everest.

so guys 1.40v is safe for 24/7?
n what is max safe vtt for 24/7?
