Hi I have had overheating issues as well. I played a game for 30 min and had to let it cool down. The whole card generates heat. My solution was to buy 2 PCI blowers, 1 for each side of the 4870 x2 card as the full card overheats on both sides. I got mine from http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=31253 for £12. Also setting the fan to 40%. Blowing all the hot air around the card out the back of the computer. And is as quit as can be. Also important is the have a good airflow through your case. I have a temp gage and the inside of my case is normally only 1 or 2 degrease hotter than room temp. ATI have pushed this card to its limits in order to put Nvidia i it's place. This is an epic card and I could not be any more happy with it.
