boy o boy, major oc
I let it run about a miunute, shut it off for a few, then let it get up there again for about a minute. Just pick a number you dont want it to get past and shut it off when i hits it a few times.Quote:

Yes that's what I believe, that you have an exceptionally great NB. Be honest though, I don't know anymore. Pertaining to the bottlenecks I seem to get stuck in; some tell me it's WindowsXP, some tell me it's my NB, some my HDD, some memory. It seems I have all the right ingredients, but the cake batter keeps "falling".
Perhaps it is just luck of the draw with CPU's, I just don't know anymore. I do know I have a Prometeia still sitting here waiting to be RMA'd. I like to think overclocking is not all in the luck of the draw. I'd like to think thjat to a large extent your results are dependent upon your knowledge (which I don't claim to have in abundance, but I'd like to think I put my time in). Somebody wuvs me cause I just received a 2.8C Malay L323A832 08/21/2003, we'll see where she takes me.
Thanx KC.Quote:

MANN...!!!!...this is exciting.....seen alot good 2,4 OC:s lately.
This gives me high hopes...to my Mach II(got it to day)...and my 2,4 that´ll hopefully arriwe on Monday.
One thing thou that corsses my mind is...thoes this "burnin" method work on AS3 to?...or is it just Cheramice?.....anyone tried it..??
Kenneth; What brand of Cheramice do you use...???
i use artic silver ceramique, yes it works for any thermal past.
gl with it!Quote:

I still belive you have to get a good chip, and that its luck of the draw most of the time, but its just one piece of the puzzle so to speak. Have to have all the pieces right, and have a bit of luck IMO.
Well thanx for replying. I've tried emulating other people's system to the letter, and I've tried building my own. Of course funds are important as well, and even though it's not all there is to it, lets face it; with a Prommie MachII, P4 3.2C, Asus P4C800-E, 1GB of Kingston Hyper-X3500, WD SCSI HDD, MSI 5900 Ultra, Swiftech H20 NB/GPU-Pelt kit, TTGI 550TS 4-fan PSU, and Lite-On LDW401 CD/DVD-RW, throw it all in a Clear PLexi or Lian Li case, and life would be slightly more interesting.
Then again placing solid silver heatsinks on the CPU, NB, Mosfets, SB, Memory, Videocard, and submerging it into a -40C bath of 3M Flourinert FC-43 in a watertight reach-down freezer, would be more then pure luck, it be madnessss.
I guess it's all relative, and depends what you compare it to. After all, I'm very lucky I have two 2.4C's that OC to 3.6GHz on default voltage, and run colder then an Eskimo's nose. And even though it has to be RMA'd at least I have a Prometeia. SO I do feel very fortunate. But one day I'd like to be at the top, with the "Big Boys" hehe.
:YIPPIE:
Fantastic results. Congratulations.
:D really impressive,
gratz, Kenneth,
im gonna get me a prommie or really good waterchiller, after i return from Asia trip in winter, :) need the money 4 the trip...
BTW, do u think the new 2.4 SL6Z3 stepping, M0, manufactured in Malay and with lowest stockvoltage 1,475 could b as good as ur 2.4C ?
Maybe i have the opportunity to get 1 of those;)
then im gonna OC like a mad &/$/&$ O N A I R :D
Jayray I would definately grab one of those!! If the default is listed as 1.475 MY GOD I'm willing to bet it's the best overclocker in the line-up! Where did you see it? Please send me the link!
The new P4 SL6Z (2.4 and 2.6C) are listed as 1.525v, no change :mad:Quote:

not true, i looked 4 the specifications and there note says: multiple vid´s
doesn´t that mean, that the vcore differs?
u r not sure, me neither :D :p:Quote:

But in this shot, it says 1,488 vcore... is it a CPU-Z error? What is the real vcore at that impressive freq? And the temps?
Bye :slobber:
Oh, :) , sry, i am quite sure, :D :toast:Quote:

Kenneth, what are the specs on your chip (FPO/batch, pack date, etc.)?
i suppose its a bug, it was at 1.5v, temps on cpu were -39, nb was -20Quote:

as ive said, didnt get a box, but ill take a pic of it when i take it out of the prommie, one thing though, people are seeming to think this is a newer chip, its not, it was purchased the first month they came out.Quote:

incredible, do you have another board you can test it in? like a IS7? maybe liquid could be right but i think you do have a really nice board and chip and even ram
